Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Exiled_Rover replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
As I said, you couldn't pay me to watch either of them. I quickly changed the channel. I have zero interest in either club - there's nothing about either. -

What's unfair about it? They're two incredibly unfashionable clubs. -

I was driving somewhere yesterday and the BBC Radio 5 Live commentary was Bournemouth v Brentford. You literally couldn't pay me to watch that. Two absolutely non-entities, yet they're both in the Prem because they have good owners. -

Travis couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag, so the fan was in absolutely no danger of that happening. -

They call Football Manager (the video game) Moral Manager for a reason. Your season can quickly go to pot if you upset the players - and likewise if you keep the same players happy they can overperform their stats. I think we're seeing that here in real life - a group of limited players who were playing out of their skins suddenly downing tools because the manager they really liked walked. Why would they continue to bust a gut when their contracts are up in the air and you've foisted a disciplinarian on them? When you factor in that we didn't bring anyone in to help them in January too. Yeah this car crash was on the cards. -

He looks like a child out of the crowd - he's unbelievably small and slow. -

I follow him on twitter for the chuckles, he's never had a penny off me. -

Fair. I'd have dropped him after that pass at Stoke to be honest - these players have such an easy ride, there are simply no consequences for bad performances. -

Luckily I won't be paying attention next season. There was a really good post on the Cardiff thread about how this shit has been going on for 15 years. It's absolutely criminal. Enough is enough - I can't dedicate any more energy to it. -

Just seen the lowlights (although they haven't shown the Dolan offside goal or why no-one was following up that Tronstad shot). As usual, a good GK saves both their headers. Carter lost his man for the first one - but Hyam was literally in no-man's land and of course soft-lad got beaten in the air for the second. We're an absolute shambles. -

And we don't steal the best youth players from L1 and L2 to sell on at a mark up either. Their business model is basically "God I hope the Academy continues to bail us out 'cos we've got no bloody idea what to do otherwise". -

Nixon on one on twitter - full 'blame the fans for being toxic' and 'defend the club' mode. He really is a rat. -

We're cheap, but we're not savvy. Why would Ismael sign a contract with a break clause in our favour in it? -

I'd quite like to two foot Hyam, the soft sod. -

Comfortable away win. A team fighting for it's life vs a team in complete disarray having once again capitulated and thrown away it's playoff chances. -

I don't mind that he's got a style of playing - looks like some variation of 3-4-3 - but you simply can't appoint him mid-season with our squad and with the position we were in. We needed a motivator that could keep the team going for 3 more months and not tweak anything tactically. -

I'd fancy my chances of running past JRC at wing back. He's not an athlete - we simply have to change formation if Brittain is injured. -

Jesus, is he really? I've not followed us closely since he was appointed. Has he really started talking about the summer rebuild after being handed a club in 5th with just 13 games to go that had made 'significant investment' in the January window? Three games later and suddenly it's all about the summer? This lad is going to be here for the full three and a half years of his contract, isn't he? -

I'll be honest, lads, it doesn't even hurt any more. The way they Waggott and his mate were allowed to dispose of Eustace finished me off. This french lad is taking us down though - horrendous appointment. -

See this is the glaring problem with football - these players are cloggers, but they throw themselves to the ground, clutching their faces / ankles like they're prime Ronaldo playing against Maldini. They have no shame. Work hard, be honest and recognise your place in the food chain. Nobody is here to watch you writhe around on the floor trying to buy a foul. -
