  1. With all that wine he drinks he'd have to sign a waiver first.
  2. It's no coincidence that they've not offered him a new contract with only 6 months remaining on his deal - bet they can't wait to get him off the wage bill.
  3. I actually reckon Rovers could be onto a good little earner if they offered out the bench places to sponsors. At least 3 of them every game at the moment are unplayable in the Championship, so why not get someone like Mercer kitted up for a couple of grand a match?
  4. We're not going up and we're not going down. The season was over when the Summer Transfer Window slammed shut again without a First XI striker walking through the door. Today was just like watching a car crash in slow motion - one we watch every week at the moment and one everyone around me in the Jack Walker saw coming. We played Watford off the park, but they made 5 subs and changed the game with their energy. We made 2 planned subs for players returning from injury (Hyam / Ennis - Hill / Leonard)... and then our 3rd change was a bloke most of us can agree simply isn't up to this standard. Their GK was the clear MOTM btw - he made 3 absurd saves.
  5. Mowbray pissed a substantial amount of money up the wall, unfortunately.
  6. I knew I'd come back to people slating the GK. He made 3 excellent saves today - and the 2 goals he's made the initial save from difficult shots and his (tired) defenders have been second to the loose ball. If he was good enough to palm those wide / somehow smother them he'd be playing in the PL.
  7. I'd be amazed if he's here come the summer. Broughton should be sounding out replacements now.
  8. Cos it works for him - he's able to put himself in the shop window for a big free transfer in 18 months time, especially if he's not going back to Russia and he's quite happy here.
  9. Cos their players don't get booked for similar or worse offences. Brittain's first yellow card was for a shirt pull in their third of the field. Their LB indicated that Brittain should get booked - a yellow card if you're following the new rules, but obviously the ref turned a blind eye. Their player didn't get booked for scything A. Wharton down in the D with a mistimed slide. It's literally one rule for one and one rule for the other.
  10. Right, that's me done for this one. Enjoy your afternoon, lads. Fuck the EFL.
  11. Yep, my big complaint with JDT - doesn't use his subs enough. Has to try Ennis / Leonard / Garrett / Travis / Gilsenan.
  12. They're also talking about us like they're the ones that have won the Premier League.
  13. Might have to actually put a striker on and attack in the second half. They have a dodgy keeper, it's baffling we've just been content to sit back and let them attack us.
  14. Yeah, that's been coming. JDT has got it all wrong today. He's invited Southampton on all game - they were going to score eventually.
  15. Never in a million years. He's thrown himself to the ground at every opportunity today.
  16. Ah and Brittain gets a yellow for a slight shirt pull in their third of the field. Fuck the EFL.
  17. I bet if a Rover felled a Saint in the D with a mistimed sliding tackle he'd get a yellow card...
  18. This is crazy football - we're just letting them have the ball. They'll eventually pick a through ball to one of their quick attackers.
