  1. It certainly was a boxing match - which is a shame because I paid to see a football match. The referee shouldn't be allowed to officiate again.
  2. I really like JDT, but I'm starting to get frustrated at his refusal to give Ennis, Leonard and Telalovic a crack. You can't continue to start games with two slow, sub 5'8" guys playing centrally. Both Swansea and PNE set a high line against us at Ewood, knowing that neither Szmodics or Dolan could run in behind them. When we did move the ball closer to their goal they just set up on their penalty spot knowing we couldn't whip dangerous crosses in. It's maddening.
  3. Can you have a word with your old mates and get that referee struck off, please?
  4. I'm not going to get into a detailed breakdown of the match itself - they took their chances and we didn't, that's football. I will say though that it was very telling that every single PNE player went over and shook the referee's hand and not a single Rovers player (or indeed the manager) acknowledged him when he was stood there, preening, with the ball at the end of the match in the penalty area near the Blackburn End. If they actually assess referees then he can never be allowed to referee again - I've never seen a worse performance. Utterly abysmal.
  5. PNE playing 4-4-f'ing-2. They're going to hammer our box with long balls and crosses today.
  6. Wayne Rooney scored 11 Premier League goals as an 18 year old. What's your point?
  7. So many posters are hell bent on us playing 4-3-3 - they suggest it every match thread. 🤣
  8. Absolutely no chance we were bringing in a PL loan at CB / RB and an experienced Championship CB. We had to loan Buckley out to balance out the books ffs.
  9. He's an CAM / Attacking Midfielder with license to bomb on. Dolan is essentially playing as a False 9, which is why our CF isn't the most advanced player.
  10. He's also 7+ years younger than Kaminski (and crucially for this administration, a damn sight cheaper).
  11. If someone wants to pay £5m+ for him then that's a great piece of business for us.
  12. Even PL clubs don't have competent third choice GKs. As for the owners, the less said the better.
  13. Why? He's the third choice (Academy graduate) GK of a cash-strapped Championship side.
  14. I've adjusted my standards to accommodate the clogger's league we're in. That type of shot, with that type of deflection, ends up in the back of the net multiple times every weekend up and down the country.
  15. And how do you sign one of those with a closed Transfer Window?
  16. Wahlstedt? I haven't seen enough of him to give a definitive answer about how good he'll be - he obviously needs to work on how he handles crosses. That said, it's no coincidence that we've won 4 of the 6 Championship games he's started (and kept 2 clean sheets). He's significantly better than Pears and I don't understand how that's even a question.
  17. No, no, no. He's the new scapegoat - he'll never be good enough now. Getting behind a wicked, deflected shot isn't enough.
  18. As I said on Wednesday, the comments exploded when Chelsea scored - a lot of the posters on here just love a good moan. It is what it is.
  19. Nah, this is great development for him - he needs to improve his off the ball work.
