  1. If he's done his back again he's a write off at this point. Back injuries never go away.
  2. Lemon drizzle still clearly has fantastic contacts in the game.
  3. He's been the best striker on the pitch recently and arguably the best player on the pitch against Coventry and Preston. I'm delighted he's finally finding his feet and the goals are coming - it was clear from day 1 that he had an awful lot about him and Championship CBs would hate playing against him.
  4. Like Dolan on the other side he works his socks of defensively so very, very rarely leaves you short heading towards your own goal, but offers basically nothing in attack. I think that's the second time recently that Dolan has employed the old Beckham / Bentley trick - something slow wingers had to do back in the day; drop your shoulder, shift the ball so you gain half a yard of space and whip it around the defender into the box. Gueye hit the post with it against Bristol City (which Weimann then converted) and obviously scored last night. Why the hell doesn't he do that more rather than trying his silly pirouettes and stepovers against defenders that are so much faster than him that even if he wrong foots then he can never get the ball round them. Baffling player, he's learned basically nothing in 4 years of professional football.
  5. It's incredible that Toth has been written off after one performance (that I don't think was that bad), yet the incumbent GK gets "well he's really improved this year" comments every match. The last three goals we've conceded have all been goalkeeping errors by Pears and (if you're someone that hates him as much as I do) you could argue that he hardly covered himself in glory for the Oxford goal either, making him at fault for four of the last six.
  6. We've desperately needed pace for years. In the current team it would stop teams pressing so high up the pitch against us and open things up for Cantwell and Gueye. There was a moment in the first half where Brittain skinned their LB with his touch, looked up and passed it across the 6 yard box. Pedersen would have had a tap in - I don't think Hedges was even in the box. The reason Gueye wasn't there was because he was instrumental in the build up - so you still need goals from those two wide men, especially if he's doing all the dirty work.
  7. He's barely played this season so I'd be delighted with that. There's definitely a player in there but he needs to play as a #10, which we've never let him do.
  8. When he first broke onto the scene for Blackpool he had periods where he was sensational. That move to Forest, and the subsequent loans (this must be at least his fourth?) have ruined him as a player.
  9. Pears remains awful. As for Hyam, he's always looked much better when he's the Junior partner. Even though me must be 27 now he still needs someone telling him what to do.
  10. I'd have to watch the highlights, but didn't he win the header?
  11. PNE team news first on BBC Radio PNE for a game at Ewood Park. Could they be any more obvious?
  12. The Bristol Rovers fans liked him when he was allowed to play and I don't think he's looked out of place in the Championship. I guess it's just us finding a club that will guarantee him playing time, cos much like Leonard that's what he desperately needs right now.
  13. I'd like to see how they both do with some actual service.
  14. We're being run like they're trying to stave off administration as long as possible - mainly because they're unwilling to put any money in themselves.
  15. Narrator: They did not have enough.
  16. Is that the level where there's multiple Serie C divisions (is it regional?) and the winners of each league go into a playoffs to get out of it?
  17. You're mad. He absolutely doesn't suit our style of football. He'd look ok in a team that's well on top - he plays his best football in the final third where he can shift the ball and do something with that half a yard. Getting up and down the pitch and beating his man for pace / in behind (which is what we desperately need) is beyond him in the senior game. He's far too unathletic.
  18. We haven't had a single kicking in January.
  19. It's why I'm only interested in permanent transfers. No point throwing money away chasing a very, very unlikely Playoff place. Bring in assets.
  20. I think they've already spent it. They've spent £25m this season (with no fee listed for the loans they're undoubtedly paying for too).
  21. There is absolutely no fucking way they've been sat on £4m all January and watched us piss away 8 games with no reinforcements. Not a chance.
  22. Beck simply isn't a winger. I don't understand why people keep trying to wish this into existence.
  23. Yeah, short of these two players hitting the ground running and being absolutely sensational we've blown our chance at the Playoffs this year. Again.
