  1. Mate, we absolutely battered them. You don't get opposing fans almost universally saying "that was a mugging" in this day and age unless it was blatant.
  2. I had my head in my hands for their entire counter attack after that Leonard miss. That's my big worry about him - we know his limitations physically (about 5'11", quick enough [but not fast], and very athletic), but I don't know how clinical he is. I really thought we'd get him out on loan this window - especially if Gallagher is preferred to him as a #9.
  3. To be fair, Rugby League players are a different breed. There's positives and negatives to that.
  4. The Argyle fans are saying we're the best team they've played this season, for what it's worth.
  5. I'm curious to see what they do with Leonard moving forward - he'll be buried behind the new lad, Ennis and Gallagher at ST. Amazed they didn't get him a loan. He needs game time - in his 20 or so minutes today he proved to be a much better footballer than Gallagher (again), but he fluffed his chance.
  6. Bingo - I read comments like that and realise it's time to take the dog for a walk. People's emotions are running high and they're just spouting all sorts.
  7. I don't think that's fair - it's probably more that he's not the guy to bring on when you're chasing a game. He doesn't have the legs that Garrett does.
  8. Again, I thought we defended very well today - a fluke deflected shot and two goalkeeping howlers. Not a great deal you can do about that as a defender - that's football.
  9. He had a very quiet first half, but was much, much better after the break. He can't put in a world class performance very week.
  10. I genuinely didn't realise he was so close to the First XI - he's a free agent Academy reject we've picked up from Spurs. That's a little frightening.
  11. Nah, even their fans are saying "Rovers are comfortably the best team today".
  12. I suspect it's like QB in American Football. It's such a singular / pivotal position that you can't just drop the guy - politics get involved. Once he's dropped he has to be dropped for a number of games - whereas you can sub on / off every outfield player without really upsetting the apple cart. Suspect that's the last we'll see of Pears outside of Cup games now, thank Christ.
  13. I thought Garrett looked very, very good in his cameo there.
  14. We've tried to walk it into the goal whilst they've shot on site - I wouldn't read too much into those stats.
  15. What have the Wharton brothers done today to annoy you? They've both been good today.
  16. Where's the shambles? It's a fluke deflected goal and two goalkeeping errors. Be angry that JDT hasn't seen fit to start Wahlstedt ahead of Pears and that we've had to start Gallagher upfront. We've comfortably been the better side today. Pickering just picked up a booking 'cos Wright handled the ball on the edge of their box and then starting breaking (so he cynically fouled him). Sums up the ref's performance today.
  17. If someone had offered £3m for him last night I bet Greg would have driven him there himself.
  18. See again - I think it's been a very good performance, we've just fluffed all of our chances. They've scored a fluke goal and from a goalkeeping error. That's football - it's a cruel game.
