  1. He has no pace - he's always susceptible to that unfortunately.
  2. Who should have started? If you say Gilsenan then that's a very, very brave call - he's got one senior start (and appearance I think). We're bereft of options upfront.
  3. He's been far too casual in possession this season - unbelievably talented player, but you can see why Morton et al kept him out of the team. I bet they properly apply themselves in training, despite having a fraction of his talent.
  4. Not sure why he's so reluctant to play JRC in midfield.
  5. Jesus, what a waste of money he was for them then. Did nothing.
  6. It's got much faster with Hedges on for Markanday, but yes we need pace.
  7. Nah I wouldn't put it past Pears spiking his drink at training.
  8. If you're organised and have a few athletes the Championship isn't a scary place. It's finding those goalscorers that's hard.
  9. I see the new extra time directive has died a death. Only 1 minute of extra time in the first half last night. 2 this lunchtime in Plymouth.
  10. I'd play him out wide ahead of Dolan and Markanday if they're determined to play Ennis upfront. He can at least hold the ball up.
  11. Not sure what Leonard has done to lose his spot in all these mock teams.
  12. I mean we literally lost 7-0 at home to Fulham 2 years ago...
  13. I think we'll lose - they've strengthened in the summer and have a very good manager. Half of our summer signings aren't fit and we obviously need 2/3 more as is.
  14. City haven't outspent their peers though, they've just spent it more wisely - Chelsea and Manchester United have spent a fortune too. Newcastle and Arsenal are evidently hot on their trail.
  15. I cancelled my season ticket at Wigan Warriors a couple of seasons ago because I was bored every Friday night. The teams of the early 2000s would obliterate the teams on show now.
  16. RL has been hurt by the Salary Cap, it's allowed the tail to wag the dog and the overall standard of the league has plummeted. As for the Saudi Pro League - I'm not sure what they get out of it. They've already bought multiple clubs around the world, so their name is out there. Artificially pumping up a farmer's league (what are there, 8 teams?) is an odd choice, but they essentially have a bottomless pot of money so they can afford to do it. I think the football governing bodies will shadow-ban anyone that goes to the Saudi Pro League from international football as the traditional super powers in Europe can't compete financially with oil money. Much like The Hundred I won't watch a second of it.
  17. It's mainly to give them control over an out ground when Old Trafford isn't available (usually due to a concert rather than a Test!). There isn't currently one in central Lancashire - they go to Southport, Liverpool, Blackpool and (snigger) Cumbria... but I think they've already fallen out with Liverpool?
