I get the impression our U21s aren't that strong this year - and anyone they think has something about them is out on loan. The U18s and below sound promising though.

Championship 24/25

What a dire game of football this is between PNE and Millwall. -
Apparently everyone and their brother knew Eustace was applying for every open Championship job. Surely they had a list of replacements lined up. Him leaving can't have come as a shock to them.
-
If you're giving it to Lowe for the rest of the season, you're still down 3 coaches from the staff as Eustace and his two pals are now in Derby.

Wasted 6 games getting players in during January. What's another 3 games without a manager? Clowns.

I think he's burned his bridges.

The State of Ewood Park!
Exiled_Rover replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Nothing wrong with Ewood Park from a facilities standpoint. It has charm too unlike most of these modern stadiums. Just look at Spurs' stadium - cost them a billion and it's alright. Lots of it is just a fad (brewing their own beer in the basement / the beer cups filling from underneath etc). -

Even the Plymouth co-commentator commented on how much the stadium looks in need of a good clean. It's embarrassing. -
My heart bleeds for him.
-
No Dennis? He's sat on the bench the last two games after getting 60 minute against Wolves. We desperately need to get him up to speed.
-
It's all relevant isn't it? The Premier League is so, so much better than the Championship. Wolves are a poor PL side and not a single one of our players would get in their starting XI.

Just watched the highlights. The Sunderland keeper has 'done a Pears' there for the second goal, hasn't he? Bloody hell. -

Bonkers we've paid him off. -
Isn't she dead?

Why did it take 30 days to push the button?

Eustace…he gone…*official*
Exiled_Rover replied to jim mk2's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
JDT would have done exactly the same thing if he could have found a buyer. In the end he was so exasperated with it all he left to manage an international team just to get away. At least Eustace had the decency not to down tools and throw his toys out of the pram before he left. -

I was one of Eustace's biggest fans on here and I'll definitely gloat. We may pass each other like ships in the night at the end of next season, but I think it's going to take him to the last 18 months of his new contract at Derby for him to manage a Championship club again. I'm petty. It's not a flaw, it's a feature. -

I'm the opposite - he had every intention of staying and was using the Derby offer as a trump card. He also had no interest in talking to Waggott and Pasha - he wanted to talk to the owners. I'm sure he knew when he walked into the Board Room and saw those two cunts sat there he knew his time was up. -
This guy?!

Eustace was concentrating on what happens in the summer - I guess he wasn't banking on Dennis and Kargbo firing us to promotion. We're in a world of hurt in the summer without investment. For the record I definitely think he overplayed his hand and jumped too soon (and is probably going to get relegated with Derby), but his concerns are very real.

We're not even in the same ocean as Boro.

Mortgage on a home win then, yeah? -
If it wasn't for the MASSIVE gap between the Championship and the Premier League (i.e. the 3 promoted teams are going straight back down again), Man U would be sweating right now. They're absolutely awful.
-
He doesn't own enough of the club to sell it, right? The Glazers sold him a percentage and let him run the football side of things. I think he's just an out-of-touch tax exile billionaire.

A 20 goal a season striker costs £20m, but a potential PL defender costs £40m?
