  1. Because he has only been manager at the puny Solhill Moors, had easily the greatest years of his career here, and we will probably have two new keepers by summer, plus two promising youth ones? Plus, better money I expect.
  2. Wow, just seen a Facebook post showing the form table for the last 12 matches. Dunno if it is accurate, but it has us top of the league for those 12 games!! Incredible when you think the Sheff Weds game was, if I recall, one that gave us only one win out of seven games. Oh to have not thrown away those cheap points...
  3. Yeh weird decision. No way would I see my winger roasting Bell and say to him 'Hey, you know what, why don't you switch that over and go take on that fucking beast Nyambe on the other side?' Madness.
  4. Ah that makes more sense, he just used the wrong forename then. Not sure what we would benefit from an 18 year old CM (by the look of it). Sure he will fit in better at Sunderland for now.
  5. Sorry mate I'm confused here. Thought we were on about Joe Garner, the striker, who came through our youth team? Are we on about a different Joe Garner, or has he started playing DM now?
  6. I've edited the post you quoted, if you take another look that may resolve it in your head.
  7. Even less PL than the original poster said then. Would still be a good player in League One I expect.
  8. No mate. Sold, to Brentford. Then sold on to Sheff U. Not released. Never played a game for Bury in his life. Not sure why you're trying to correct me before looking it up. Memory is unreliable pal. You may be thinking of a different player? John O'Sullivan was loaned to Bury, later released by us, currently plying his trade at Morecambe but never kicked a football for Sheff U. You might be confusing the two? We received a bid for him at the same time as O'Connell, for about the same 500k fee. Bizarrely (not with hindsight, I said the same at the time) we rejected the O'Sullivan offer and sold O'Connell. Shoulda done it the other way.
  9. Another site also getting it wrong doesn't change my view. Like I say, I didn't see all of it, but I saw Bell botch up enough to still be highly concerned by him. Sofascore gave Nyambe the same score as Walton, Gallagher and Holtby, that's why I mentioned those three. They had him as joint worst with 3 others, so including himself, his score was in the lowest third or so of the team. Thought he had another great game.
  10. I missed a few chunks of the game but I saw Bell fuck up royally on at least three occasions. Nyambe meanwhile, was rampant.
  11. Joe Garner plays for Wigan.
  12. I feel like sofascore either didn't see Nyambe play, or every time Bell did something shit they thought it was Nyambe. Miles off on his score. A machine again. Anyone who thinks he scored the same as Gallagher, Walton and even Holtby tonight doesn't even know what a football is.
  13. Really? 5 degrees according to google.
  14. This comment has completely confused me. Has something happened to the river?
  15. Yes. The only poor player we have on the pitch. Gave them a corner when the ball was going out of play. Sent a cross flying into no man's land. Sloppily let them through one time without committing a challenge. Dog shit. Desperately need a new LB. Still.
  16. O'Connell, and he wasn't let go on a free. If I recall it was rumoured to be about 500k. He went to Brentford, not Sheff United, and they sold him on.
  17. Happens every year. They put in the maximum amount that FFP allows you to put in through owners issuing themselves more shares. I'm guessing 5.3 million is the current limit on that. Wouldn't expect it to mean anything in particular for transfers. Unless the delay has just been waiting for the usual influx.
  18. Not sure why you think Lenihan is one you 'can't see us keeping him again this summer'. As far as we know, we haven't had a bid on him since we got relegated to League One. No links to Travis either, ever. I'm sure we can extend Holtby's contract. We may even have an option to do so, we seem big on those lately. I am also worried about regressing next season with TM at the helm though. Not to a relegation degree, but I feel the rebuild job is set to be too big for his limited skill in the transfer market and with FFP looming.
  19. Same points total as this time last season, pretty sure the LT said that.
  20. Sure, but you appreciate that goes both ways though, right?
  21. As a neutral, I need to tell you it's because you're almost always unable to provide him with a convincing counter argument. You repeat yourself because you don't have a better argument to offer even though your first wasn't convincing. You keep saying things like 'I already told you I think'. He knows what you told him you think, he's a smart guy. He's trying to tell you, you might well think it but your argument doesn't stack up because x, y or z. If you dont have anything new to reply with, I'd recommend you don't reply instead of repeating yourself to all of us. Hope that helps. I'm not trying to have a go, just telling you how it comes across.
  22. That would have been all well and good to say 12 months ago, when this appointment should actually have been made. Then we would now be talking about the dividends. Like I said before, we should just go out of our way to steal Brentford's France scout.
  23. Any chance you could share any of the names?
  24. He can literally only go to Wigan though is the thing. Or those very specific leagues with different season timetables. Was it like, Australia and the MLS?
  25. He said big departure and you said he is right but more than one. Am I right to assume you meant more than one small or fringe player departure, rather than more than one big departure?
