Newcastle will surely bring more than 1500 at a tenner a pop?

FA Cup 2019: Third Round onwards
MarkBRFC replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Would it? Newcastle beat Watford at St James a couple of months back, and got a draw there just after Christmas. -
I'm going to predict we'll be scrambling around in the last few days of the window for a loan signing to "help out" the team. He will then spend 95% of the rest of the season on the bench.

I'm not sure that rule is in place anymore is it? I might be wrong here, but when we played Man Utd a couple of seasons ago at Ewood, tickets were priced at £30 for adults. If that game had gone to a replay then I'm sure I read at the time that if a replay was required it would have been £42ish for us there. Liverpool away in 2015 was £30 adults, they have (or did at the time) have a tiered structure for the FA Cup. For example they had.. 3rd round against Premier League opposition - £25, 3rd round against Championship £20, 3rd round against league one/two £15. Then fourth round £30. £25, £20 respectively and so on. I expect it to be £10 / £5 because nobody will go otherwise, but wouldn't be totally surprised to see it at £20 for adults.

Yeah agreed. There are some players in league one/two who are worth looking at. Should be our model really looking at the best the league below has to offer. Theres that lad at Doncaster who plays up front, name escapes me, who has scored a fair few this year. Think one or two have mentioned him before. He would be worth a shot, as would the young lad at Sunderland.

Very odd to be honest. My only thinking to that usually would be could they be putting us somewhere else in the ground that only has a 3000ish capacity as there hasnt been as many home ticket sales as anticipated and they could then leave the whole upper tier empty? Only problem with that it would cause chaos to who sits where etc.

In my opinion, and i'm sure others have said the same i don't think the £7million was there for three experienced championship players, i think it was there for a "project", soneone who could double maybe even treble there investment over the next couple of years.

Was he the one we were linked with late last summer before Downing come in?
-
We would all love this but lets be realistic, it isn't going to happen.
-
I don't think that four ever played in the same team. Chapman is out of contract in the summer, and TM mentioned him fairly recently at the supporters consultation, and Boro have just signed another winger so you would think this one will probably happen if we want it too. Bauer is an interesting one, on paper he looks exactly what we need, can't say I have seen too much of him though. I don't think we'll be signing a left back, I think TM will want to run with Bell and hopefully we'll see an improvement, thought he was better on Tuesday. I would certainly be looking at a right back to come in and add depth there, we can't keep putting Bennett out there when Nyambe is out. Other than that, the main two pieces of business I want to see is Dack staying, and Travis not going out on loan and signing a new contract here.

Probably be announced on the 31st.

Should be available overseas i think? Bank holiday games here are exempt (like the saturday 3pm games) unless the club requests for it to be streamed. Considering there will be 15000+ empty seats today i cant imagine the club will have requested this.

This is what we needed in the summer, it wasnt addressed. We wont be signing anyone this window who will go straight into the team because it will give Tony too many selection problems with his faves. We all know where needs addressing, but can anyone realistically see somebody coming in to take the place of Lenihan, Mulgrew, Bell, Bennett, Smallwood or Evans on a regular basis? Or a real wide player to play on that left side instead of Armstrong? Because i can't.

Rovers v West Brom 1 Jan 2019
MarkBRFC replied to AllRoverAsia's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Should be plenty going forward in that side but christ that defence, three of them haven't got a tackle in them. -
He was ok, got caught out far too often for me. However, he would certainly be an upgrade on Lenihan.
-
Think it was actually 0/9 under Lambert at Christmas as our boxing day game with Middlesborough was postponed.
-
I would have thought he'll put Reed alongside Evans in the middle, Bennett and Armstrong either side of Dack. If Nyambe is still out though i suppose that might open up a spot for Travis?
-
He should do, but ive seen enough of Tonys selections to tell me he wont. I expect Travis, Palmer, Rothwell & Brereton to all bebout of the starting lineup come Tuesday.
-
If theres one thing for certain, he wont start on Tuesday.

Next 6 Games (January 2019)
MarkBRFC replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Are ipswich a bogey team? We have won 4 and drawn 1 in our last 5 against them at Ewood. We should be looking at winning that. Out of the others, between WBA-Brentford i'd be suprised if we got 6 points. I'm going into games now thinking we'll concede at least 2/3. -
Didnt start at WBA either despite Graham not playing. Maybe there is something financial in the loan contract and we will see more of him when he is officially our player. I'm not too worried yet but as Matty said after the Norwich game it did make me think about it a bit more, in that cameo he looked like he had never played the game before.
