  1. Please be true. I honestly thought Corry would be at Rovers until the end of time. He sums up the venkys era perfectly for me. 7 years of nothing, slow, sluggish, not an ounce of urgency in him, mysterious injurys before being fit as a fiddle for international duty, a slight bit of promise before reverting to type again not long after etc, etc. He should have been shown the door a long time ago.
  2. I know it was only league one, but it was probably Chapman for me. It had felt like an age since the last time I saw someone come on and sprint past people at pace and have a half decent final ball too. Unfortunately I can't see that Chapman producing the goods here, injuries and Mowbray have put pay to that.
  3. Depends who you speak too, someone told me on here that Mulgrew was responsible for our entire goals conceded column last season.
  4. Wasn't that another one where Mowbray said he would have to compete with Smallwood and Evans and wouldn't be a guaranteed starter? It was early in the transfer window, we could have got that one sorted before Villa even looked at him.
  5. He did. I fully expect it to be "torn up" at the end of the season by mutual consent. We'll see.
  6. Imagine Dwight Gayle here, he would be played as a "left wide forward" until April.
  7. This years Jack Rodwell this lad. He won't be here next season.
  8. Only investment in defence is Bell. The back four that started his first game away at Burton 3 years ago are all still under contract.
  9. Nyambe & Bell too. Mulgrew during that horror patch last season.
  10. Don't worry, someone is paying 8 figures for him in this window.
  11. Gallagher Put in a shift today no doubt, also won the penalty with some good battling. He will never score goals at a regular level though, his anticipation, finishing and heading are up there with the worse Rovers strikers I have ever seen.
  12. I think it will set him up perfectly by the time he gets another game under Mowbray
  13. I'm still concerned that our back four on the opening day of next season will be Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew & Williams. The exact same four as his first game at Burton nearly 3 years ago.
  14. If there is any system that Mowbray won't try with Dack out, it's that.
  15. Doesn't look as quick as the last time I saw him to be honest, but he did stay out wide hugging the touchline to give us another option, it's something the likes of Rothwell, Armstrong etc don't like doing.
  16. Surely the Lenihan to Sheffield Utd ship sailed a long time ago? He's nowhere near good enough to play the system they play.
  17. I do love a good stat, but I certainly don't base my opinion around them. I can see with my eyes that Sam Gallagher isn't good enough, and could play 90 minutes every game up front with a partner, for the rest of the season, and he still wouldn't be close to getting double figures.
  18. Apologies if someone is doing a proper preview for this, but I've just noticed on twitter that they have said there are 1400 tickets remaining for the upper tier before they can sell lower tier ones. There fans appear to be having a right good moan about it and are even on about boycotting over it because they want to be in the lower. The price is the same for both tiers. What an odd bunch.
  19. I always thought that ifollow isn't available for people in the UK, but if it is outside of Saturday 3-5pm blackout and on the sky red button, then you could purchase it on ifollow for a one off fee.
  20. Probably coincide with the next time we win 3 in a row, so probably March.
  21. Nothing else to really add to what has been said. I will touch on one thing though, the fact that we have, and I knew we would after the way we started against Wigan, entered yet another Mowbray horror run. Dack being out is a huge blow, he has been the heartbeat of the club for the past two years so of course we're going to miss him. Glad there is a break from league action on Sat, I dread to think what lineup and system we'll attempt to play when the nobbers role into town.
  22. Huddersfield hadn't beaten us at home for over 20 years before Sunday, means nothing. I'll be amazed if today isnt the most comfortable 90 minutes that Forest have all season, we have reverted back to type until probably March now when we'll probably win 3 in a row and everything will be rosy again.
  23. Pete O'Rourke from sky linking us to a Gillingham defender, think he's usually been quite reliable in the past for Rovers news.
  24. The name rings a bell, but we were stumped when we were told that we would actually have to pay a transfer fee for him. We don't buy defenders.
  25. Ref blew the final whistle before the clock got to 90 minutes, nobody bat an eyelid. Imagine the uproar if that happened now.
