It could be one game that you feel started a bad run or just one game purely on result alone. Legia Warsaw, where we were a matter of minutes away from the last 16 of the champions league, arsenal in the FA Cup semi.... the list goes on. For me I guess it is the Southampton game at Ewood in the 1998 - 1999 season. We went down to a poor 2-0 defeat, if we'd won that game we would not have been relegated that season and would not thave had two seasons in the First Division.

I saw him the week before when I was there with England. He was doing press ups with his pplant on his head and it got kicked off by some muppet. Everyone through in a few euro's for him and he seemed ok then. He's not the only pothead I saw out there.

Earnshaw could be worth a shout as well as Eastwood. I'm still not sure why Earnshaw didn't make it at West Brom, his goalscoring record is excellent and Hughes knows him well from their time together with Wales. I've watched Eastwood a few times and I have been impressed with his movement and all round contribution. He will make the step up soon.

I was under the impression that 1st played 2nd and 3rd played CL. Don't know why I thought that.

Just wondering what results we are hoping for this week. I guess 2 draws wouldn't be too bad. That would leave it in our own hands. We could do with hitting a bit of form before we play Nancy as they are a fairly strong team. They do appear to have a few problems away from home so we should be looking to top the group. Interestingly if we finish 2nd we are a little more limited in possible fixtures as we could not play Spurs, Newcastle, or the tam that finishes top of our group.

I think Roversmum has hit the nail on the head, we need to start seeing a return from our forwards. Personally I think it's time to give Jeffers a run, he has looked sharp when he has come on and I wouldn't mind seeing him replace Nonda, who has not been firing on all cylinders recently. I'm personally not too worried as I think we will start picking up points soon. There is absolutely no doubt that the UEFA cup has stretched our small squad to the full. Maybe a little blame has to go with Hughes for not strengthening the squad in the summer. To be fair I think every member on this site could see we were short at LB and CM.

You wouldn't believe how gutted I am today. Unfortnately due to a mixture of lack of holidays and lack of funds and lack of an understanding Girlfriend i shall be watching the game on the box. You know me far too well. To be fair our big night out was a Tuesday which was obviously fairly quiet, we did manage to head down to the square where the pubs opened late but were far too hammered and had to get a cab back to the hotel (via macdonalds) about 30 minutes later. Go to the black tiger bar in the red light district, in the downstairs bar you should see a photo of yours truly looking rather worse for wear. I think i'd just proposed to the bar maid..
