  1. That happens in Ireland as well does it Rich. I sometimes go to watch Hereford United and we always have a laugh at what the "Official" attendance is recorded as. It seems to be about 500-1000 different. Other clubs do it as well, Its a well known fact that Burnleh have 25000 at every home game and they take 10000 away
  2. roversactive, If you don't like the content of the thread then Dont bloody read it. Its fairly obvious from the title what its all about. You've got your own messageboard, please feel free to ban any scousers from there if you want to, we however understand how serious a subject this is. This topic has stimulated some moving posts, just read Tris' post (he's not a Liverpool fan) for evidence.
  3. If I'm not mistaken it came about when everyone was blaming him for our performances last season. I'm sure someone will enlighten you further.
  4. I Hope Skemlad returns to read Tris' post. I attended the Hilsbourough tribute concert some years ago, it was a very moving event and the raw emotion about the place was a very sombering experience. The one thing I would say is that it is entirely wrong to pin any of this blame on Wayne Rooney. Liverpool players have spoke to the sun and done interviews before. Edgar Davids was seen reading the sun whilst flying to England, would he have been berated for doing so if he had signed for Liverpool, I doubt it. Also I find it unbelievable that Liverpool fans still sing songs about the Munich Air Disaster when they play Man U, surely fans who have known the heartache of a huge disaster should not sing in jest about another one.
  5. Any Midland based rovers can get return flights from Birmingham for under £60, accomadation at the university for about £12 a night. Come on guys get booked up....
  6. I am staying in Dublin on Saturday and Sunday night, looking forward to a session on Saturday night. The Mrs will be with me so I will be on my best behaviour
  7. tcj_jones, I can only apologies if you found me 'intolerant and offensive', I can only assume I was having an off day. I always try to be fair and only delete or edit posts where I feel it is necessary. Granted sometimes I lose my rag (don't we all). Anyway, I hope you accept my apology, I'll make sure I buy you a pint if I meet you at ewood. I'm sure the people who have met me off the site will (hopefully) back me up, I'm not that bad really (come on guys, throw me a frickin bone here!!!!!)
  8. Yordi Cruyff is also training with them at the moment
  9. I still await Jims apology for his comments towards the England Fans. Not sure if journalists do apologise if they get something completely wrong. They normally just publish their usual crap and don't seem to care when it is proved to be completely incorrect.
  10. Sky showed 2 games more or less most Saturdays last season. Personally I enjoyed the away games when we could get to the pub for 12 watch a match, then watch the Rovers and then back in to watch another match. It's all personal choice but the facts are that Rovers make more money from being on Sky than they lose from the fans that stay away. I don't think Sky showed 2 Prem games on a saturday hardly at all last season. There were a few Midday kick offs and that was about it. I think there may have been a couple of 5.00 pm kick offs toward the end of the season. They didn't show 2 Prem games on a Saturday often though.
  11. I'm on the 8.00 am from Birmingham. We'll probably get to Dublin at about the same time.
  12. I land in Dublin at 8.55, time to get to the Fitzwilliam and unpack, then have a quick powernap, then out for the duration. Not sure what the Mrs is going to think about the whole experience.
  13. Looking forward to meeting a few more people off here. I have got everything booked up now. Anyone know what time the last train back from Bray was last year.
  14. I've decided to travel Chesh style and I've booked into the 5* Fitzwilliam hotel for 2 nights. Got flights from Birmingham for £57, fly out 8.00 am on Saturday and return at midday on the Monday. Got a good deal on the hotel, it works out at £55 a night each for me and the Mrs. Looking forward to it, I was gutted I couldn't go last year so hopefully this will make up for it. I'm sure we'll all sort out where to meet up a bit nearer the time.
  15. I'm flying to Dublin at 9.00 am Saturday morning fly home on Monday Morning so it doesn't effect me to much
  16. If anyone wants to really do this on the cheap, stay at the univ ersity for about 15 quid a night. Its only 4k outside the City centre. They also book out whole apartments if anyones interested in doing something like that.
  17. Just asked the mrs if she fancied a nice romantic weekend in Dublin in August, she looked me in the eye and said, "why????, who's playing!!!" Absolute quality!!
  18. Ha ha, thats gotta be up there with Lofty's mate who changes the bulbs in the floodlights. Mourinho and Benitez are the two managers involved in the deal, I'm sure they would be off telling other premiership managers about it wouldn't they. There is no deal in place as Liverpool are hoping to convince Gerrard that his future is at Anfield. Told you so!!!
  19. Another member with crap contacts then.... Your respectable Premiership Manager obviously knows naff all. It really bugs me when people come on here telling people they have all of these various sources when they are really just making things up. If you don't know what I am talking about then you (and your Premiership Manager) obviously weren't at Anfield when Gerrard commited his future to the club today.
  20. Welcome back Orcan, I guess you enjoyed your European campaign as it lasted considerably longer than ours. Did Gencler qualify for Europe again this season, If so maybe we will see you in England again soon. I've been looking out for a Gencler shirt (I have one that I swapped with a rovers shirt after the Friendly at Brockhall), but I was after the proper adidas one. Any links where I could get one.

  22. that's better. Oh and leave my mate Lofty alone you 19 year old glue lover
  23. So the longest serving mod on the site doesn't get a mention in the poll above, whats the world coming too. Bloody Legion's managed to get his name on there twice too
  24. An England fan was stabbed to death in Lisbon last night, a croatian man has been arrested. It's a good job all other teams fans are as good as gold and only the English have a hooligan element eh Jim. Still it was probably the the fault of the English fans for celebrating wasn't it Jim.
  25. Oh dear, the blueboy beered up post resurfaces. It'll look clearer this morning mate
