  1. He would have received a 2 match ban. Unfortunately he will still receive a 2 match ban if he gets booked again this season (I think) so we will definately have to do without his services for a couple of games soon.
  2. Bear in mind that they had most of their midfield out injured and still beat us comfortably at Ewood. This is still going to be a very tricky game, winnable but tricky.
  3. Portsmouth's away form is pretty shocking aswell. I actually think the Big club might win that one but then they will get hammered by Arsenal and Liverpool leaving them firmly in the........ relegation zone
  4. Nice to see your mug all over Sky again Manchester Blue. Every time they replayed Sparky celebrating you were there.... I hope you've got the royalties sorted.
  5. Not sure if anyone is interested but skybet have offered me 33-1 on Bellamy scoring at Newcastle and Souness getting sacked after the game.... could be interesting. Also offered 25-1 on Pedersen to score direct from a corner this season. doesn't seem great odds to be fair.
  6. I seem to remember that Souness had a go at Bellamy when he left about not scoring enough goals. He said that Ameobi would outscore him if given a longer run in the team. Just out of interest Ameobi has played in 16 games this season and scored 1 goal, Bellers has played in 17 games and scored 9 goals....... I think I know which one I would choose Mr Souness. http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/050202/4/8u8r.html
  7. ...in a sad attempt to make Birmingham look ambitious. It sums up the club - and its owners' routinely ridiculous conduct. PRICELESS!!!!
  8. Can any of our aussie friends give us the lowdown on Skoko. He has hinted that he might leave Wigan. Thought he was impressive when we played against him when he was at Genclerbirligi.
  9. Am I mistaken or is this thread supposed to be about our impressive win away at Wigan..... Not sure if it's been mentioned but Reids goal was pretty good. Can't be arsed to wade through the last few pages of crap being spouted by the usual suspects. How about keeping it on topic for a change.
  10. So after 19 games the Big club in Aston are on 13 points after 19 games. just to highlight how much trouble they are in I had a look back over previous seasons. Out of 12 teams relegated in the last 4 seasons, no team has had less points after 19 games than Birmingham do now. Relegated Teams and points after 19 games Norwich 15 Palace 14 Southampton 14 Wolves 15 Leeds 17 Leicester 18 Sunderland 18 WBA 16 West ham 14 Derby 16 Ipswich 15 Leicester 15 Only 1 team has escaped the drop in a worse position than Birmingham are now, and that was WBA last year. They had 10 points after 19 games and ended up on 34. I don't see Birmingham having a run like West Brom did last year. I think they may be down and out. Upson limped off yesterday and is out for about 4 weeks.
  11. It's a fix and I'm drunk. We knew it was going to be a fix from day one. The FA don't want us and wigan in the final for one minut4e. I've had fun i'be drunk lots adn its all good. I still think we can win this but must admit it s all a bit suss
  12. So Vinjay. Out of your last 10 posts, 9 contained references to the Walkers and the other was moaning about your avatar being changed. Probably time to change the record now. I definately class it as an obsession and think its probably time to seek help for it.
  13. made me chuckle anyway. Still think you're nuts, and that you have a very unhealthy obsession with the walkers
  14. Flopsy, I think thats a disgusting way to speak about one of the biggest clubs in world football. You should be completely ashamed of yourself. You should want to see all English clubs doing well in Europe. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Only Kidding..... Its effing brilliant. God I'm gonna have some fun with all the dirty mancs at work
  15. Trevor Hemmings is also from Lancashire. I think he has money in North end as well as Charlton
  16. I'm not worried about his injuries. They have all stemmed from the back problem that has now been sorted. Initially he was being treated for the wrong thing so it's no wonder he was out injured a lot. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play most of the games up until next summer and sneak a place in the world cup squad.
  17. How about a fit again Thommo. I know it's early days but I feel he has all of the attributes to play in the centre of the park.
  18. Ummm, haven't Charlton just looked into banning Man United fans following their refusal to sit down at games and also all of the problems they have caused recently.
  19. I'm sure if one of our current players had thrown an elbow out in the same way that Shearer did on the weekend the press would be all over it. I seem to recall a few weeks ago Mr. Shearer having a go at a Grimsby player for "doing him" with an elbow, he was certainly quick enough to do the same thing to Weir on Sunday. Quite funny that hardly anything has been said about the Shearer incident
  20. I also blame the Walkers for the snow in Stoke on Trent
  21. Shut up you complete and utter muppet. Can't you find somewhere else to spoute your @#/? as I'm sure we've heard enough of it on here. PS-How did the meeting with John Williams go??
  22. When I did Football Aid last year the tactics from our previous game were still on the board. Wish i'd snaffled them away now!!!
  23. So here we go again. 1700 people are fortunate enough to be making the short trip to the City of Manchester Stadium. Once again we have managed to sell our allocation very quickly for this tie and it appears that we could have easily sold a considerably higher number of tickets. Current Form Rovers approach the game in good form, lying 4th in the current Premiership Form Table with 4 wins and 2 defeats in their last 6 games. Rovers goal scoring powers ;-) have also been highlighted with 12 league goals in these 6 games, second only to Chelsea in respect of goals scored. Manchester City are 9th in the Form table with 8 goals in their last 6 games. Current Form (All Competitions) ROVERS WLWWLW CITY LWLWWL Manchester City have been fairly strong at home this season and have recorded victories in their last 3 home games against Villa, West Ham, and Everton. Rovers have lost their last 2 away games at Chelsea and Liverpool (a result that may have been different if Zurab had stayed on the pitch) Past Meetings Rovers have had the better of the last few meetings, with Manchester City recording just one win in the last 7 matches between the two teams. Overall records show the following; ROVERS 43 wins CITY 37 wins 23 Draws The last 6 meetings have resulted in the following scorelines; 0-0 1-1 (Dickov 78 - Sibierski 45) 1-1 (Anelka 50 - Flitty 55) 2-3 (Sinclair OG 44, Amoruso 61 - Tarnat 4, Barton 59, Anelka 54) 1-0 (Dunn 13) 2-2 (Thompson 26, Cole 54 - Anelka 80, Goater 90) Former Rovers Obviously the one name that springs to mind is that of Andrew Cole. Cole arrived at the City of Manchester Stadium via Craven Cottage where he did a good job for a struggling Fulham side. He has got off to a perfect start for his new team scoring 5 goals so far. There was some talk of him returning to Ewood Park in the summer, a move that was greeted with some excitement by certain members of the BRFCS faithful. No doubt can be put on his ability, he has scored goals at the top level of football for all of his career and he has been lucky enough to win all of the major competitions in a hugely successful career. Another name now associated with Manchester City is Tim Flowers. Flowers has been the goalkeeping coach at Manchester City since leaving a similar position at Leicester. The man with 'bottle' will always be remembered by Rovers fans as an integral part of the Premiership winning team of 94-95. Players to Watch Stuart Pearce has been keen to introduce a youthful look to his Manchester City Team. There were 4 homegrown players in the starting 11 against Fulham in their last Premiership encounter. The likes of Croft, Ireland, and Jordan have established themselves under Stuart Pearce and he even seems to have tamed Joey Barton, who is one of 4 players to have appeared in every premiership game this season. Musampa has been impressive to watch and creates a number of opportunity's for the strike duo of Vasselll and Cole, who have managed 10 goals between them this season. Likely Line Ups Manhester City have Joey Barton suspended for the first time this season, this will see a shuffle in the midfield with the possiblility of Claudia Reyna coming into the fold if fit. City also have question marks over the fitness of Musampa and Onouha. Expect to see Manchester City line up as follows; James, Mills, Dunne, Distin, Jordan, Reyna,Musampa, Croft, Ireland, Cole, Vassell Rovers have doubts over a few key players with Savage and Nelsen both struggling to shake off injuries in time for Saturday. Matteo may be fir but Micky Grey definately misses out. Expect to see Rovers line up as follows; Friedel, Neill, Zurab,Todd,Gresko??,Pedersen, Savage, Tugay,Emerton, Bellemy, Dickov After starting to write up the team I have absolutely no idea who we might play at left back. If Nelsen is fit we may see Neill at left back with Zurab on the right and a centre pairing of Todd and Nelsen. I hope all those who have managed to get tickets have a good day out and cheer the team on to a great success.
  24. I'm doing the preview for this one. I'll probably start a new thread. It'll be posted this evening.
