He would have received a 2 match ban. Unfortunately he will still receive a 2 match ban if he gets booked again this season (I think) so we will definately have to do without his services for a couple of games soon.

Bear in mind that they had most of their midfield out injured and still beat us comfortably at Ewood. This is still going to be a very tricky game, winnable but tricky.

Portsmouth's away form is pretty shocking aswell. I actually think the Big club might win that one but then they will get hammered by Arsenal and Liverpool leaving them firmly in the........ relegation zone

Not sure if anyone is interested but skybet have offered me 33-1 on Bellamy scoring at Newcastle and Souness getting sacked after the game.... could be interesting. Also offered 25-1 on Pedersen to score direct from a corner this season. doesn't seem great odds to be fair.

I seem to remember that Souness had a go at Bellamy when he left about not scoring enough goals. He said that Ameobi would outscore him if given a longer run in the team. Just out of interest Ameobi has played in 16 games this season and scored 1 goal, Bellers has played in 17 games and scored 9 goals....... So after 19 games the Big club in Aston are on 13 points after 19 games. just to highlight how much trouble they are in I had a look back over previous seasons. Out of 12 teams relegated in the last 4 seasons, no team has had less points after 19 games than Birmingham do now. Relegated Teams and points after 19 games Norwich 15 Palace 14 Southampton 14 Wolves 15 Leeds 17 Leicester 18 Sunderland 18 WBA 16 West ham 14 Derby 16 Ipswich 15 Leicester 15 Only 1 team has escaped the drop in a worse position than Birmingham are now, and that was WBA last year. They had 10 points after 19 games and ended up on 34. I don't see Birmingham having a run like West Brom did last year. I think they may be down and out. Upson limped off yesterday and is out for about 4 weeks.

I'm not worried about his injuries. They have all stemmed from the back problem that has now been sorted. Initially he was being treated for the wrong thing so it's no wonder he was out injured a lot. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play most of the games up until next summer and sneak a place in the world cup squad.

So here we go again. 1700 people are fortunate enough to be making the short trip to the City of Manchester Stadium. Once again we have managed to sell our allocation very quickly for this tie and it appears that we could have easily sold a considerably higher number of tickets. Current Form Rovers approach the game in good form, lying 4th in the current Premiership Form Table with 4 wins and 2 defeats in their last 6 games. Rovers goal scoring powers ;-) have also been highlighted with 12 league goals in these 6 games, second only to Chelsea in respect of goals scored. Manchester City are 9th in the Form table with 8 goals in their last 6 games. Matteo may be fir but Micky Grey definately misses out. Expect to see Rovers line up as follows; Friedel, Neill, Zurab,Todd,Gresko??,Pedersen, Savage, Tugay,Emerton, Bellemy, Dickov After starting to write up the team I have absolutely no idea who we might play at left back. If Nelsen is fit we may see Neill at left back with Zurab on the right and a centre pairing of Todd and Nelsen.
