  1. If even senior players expecting to get plenty of minutes in a small squad to start with (Travis and Buckley) are sent out on loan just to save a few months of wages then there ain’t going to be much left ‘fringe’ players wise outside of 20 year olds.
  2. Think you’ll find it’s ’Wee Dougie’
  3. After the craven Twitter post when he said it would be ‘sensationalising’ to publish the winding up story he needs to ‘sit down’ with his NCTJ training books to understand ‘public interest’.
  4. He wasn’t terrible at Bristol Rovers, certainly not to the extent he wouldn’t have got another gig... but he’s fecked it now. Very messed up individual.
  5. Get him sold for a profit pronto, The Model in action 👌
  6. I know there was, I was there and it makes sense that there were empty rows as the capacity of that stand is more than 7,332. But obviously that shows teams do get more than 7,000.
  7. Not bad numbers at all for a fourth round tie with five days to go considering night game, TV, January and just how bad the whole atmosphere around the club has been on and off the pitch since November- it’s nearly February! There’s a good support base here despite all the BS you read from other (and unfortunately many of our own ignorant) fans.
  8. Don’t remember ‘all’ on here slagging off Raya and Kaminski…
  9. Four points from the League 1 relegation zone. They had years in the PL, good fanbase, nice ground but they’ve not had a sniff of coming back to the Championship for years. We are more likely to go that way than a repeat of 2018 if we end up back there.
  10. Wrong thread.
  11. Leeds were given 7,337 just last month.
  12. Why would Venky’s, half way round the world be arsed about that? They’ve thrown away 10,000 ST holders, they couldn’t care less.
  13. … well they largely weren’t available in person for the last round
  14. Excellent ideas. We did the marches, sit-ins and all that a decade ago, well a few hundred folk did, and those small numbers were when the fanbase as a whole was anti-Venky and there were 20k+ in the ground every week. Now the match going fanbase is far smaller and far more accepting of them so getting physical protests off the ground will be difficult. So a big education piece is the way to go for me.
  15. They literally can't let a cup tie go by without some kind of stunt to deter people from coming. 'A club without supporters is.... how we want it'.
  16. Just close the actual club and be done with it.
  17. The 'churn' as John Williams called it. Unfortunately Swag has zero interest in the long term health of the fanbase. As long as he can hit his financial targets (and presumably bonuses) until he finally fecks off it matters not to him that said targets are being hit with only 8/9k sold. Indeed, he'll be happy about it, nice and stable and can keep expenses like matchday, ticketing, stewarding staff etc to a minimum. 'Why bother taking a risk in reducing prices? I'm off in a year or two.'
  18. 1 free Under 11 with 1 adult… https://www.pnefc.net/tickets/welcoming-families2/tickets-for-the-family/
  19. And of course ‘walking on’, ‘picking your games’ doesn’t actually happen most weeks as you’ll have no ST forcing your attendance, it’s why ST sales are so vital to keep fans in the tent.
  20. End of the day folk want to see wins. Our home form has been poor. As an example we haven’t won on a Saturday (so games most ST holders see, as plenty miss midweeks) since the 21st October - our next Ewood league game is in February. Couple that with high prices, the general shambles around the club and you are staring down the barrel of a very poor summer of renewals.
  21. Not as horrendously bad as I thought that with a week to go considering just how bad things have been, plus work night, TV, and all the rest of it. Quite a few won’t even given it much thought yet and will buy over the weekend. Obviously the Hollywood glamour!
  22. If we have a barmstorming end to the season at home, coupled with a decent summer window then we could just about tread water. But far more likely is that we don’t, and we then sell more of the family silver in the window - ergo perfect storm for a collapse in sales.
  23. Doubt we’ll be particularly close to their numbers as the majority of ST holders will be giving it a swerve and obviously unlike a league game won’t be counted in the crowd figure anyway.
  24. 7,500+ Rovers fans? Loving the optimism SG!
