  1. How does that work if it’s the same competition rules for every team?
  2. Why are you baffled by the fact experienced Championship centre forwards can have an impact in Championship games?
  3. Good job they scrapped the relegation a few on here were railing against 😬
  4. All about opinions, but for me Be Here Now is a pretty big drop off in quality from Definitely Maybe, Morning Glory and even the B-Sides from that era.
  5. Could things have been changed up on the night? Of course, managers have to make many decisions in that 90 minutes, JDT got some wrong. But we will finish outside the play offs because of a small, inexperienced and unbalanced squad, and that is on the owners. The fact we even look towards the top 6 at all is because of JDT, without him we’d be looking the other way.
  6. Unless you make it to a national paper/broadcast media, there’s bugger all money in local journalism, so you did right!
  7. He’s doing well, he’s a teenager playing week in week out in a tough league, it’s exactly what PL clubs want to see. Of course there will be interest, promising England youth internationals are hoovered up by PL clubs. Though I suppose it depends what you mean by ‘decent’, as say, £9/10 million is pocket change to them, but will do bugger all for our team when it disappears into the famed running costs.
  8. Be Here Now absolutely brilliant?! Even Noel said it was an overblown mess due to the industrial amounts of coke they were consuming. The Masterplan collection of B-Sides was a far better album.
  9. Highest win percentage of any Rovers manager post Kenny…
  10. You don’t say! Though this place is to put across your opinion, not regurgitating the manager’s.
  11. If that’s what India want, that’s what India will get. The BCCI controls the whole sport, the ICC just get to organise competitions on their behalf.
  12. He was the set piece coach at one point, if they’ve actually recruited someone specifically for it yet I’ve no idea. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23545658.blackburn-rovers-searching-vital-backroom-team-appointment/
  13. These players are putting in unacceptable performances? Give over. They are working hard and playing well. In a decent position with a load of the season to go. BTW - The bench is an example of a weak squad, strong squads on the whole get promoted as its a 50+ game season. It’s not about who was on the bench and who might have come on in a one off game.
  14. Obviously, but that wasn’t how he put it , he said JDT was ‘incredible hype over results’. That just isn’t the case. Now if he said ‘I’m sick of losing at home as they are the games I see’, then fair enough, we all want to watch wins at Ewood and skip up Livesey Branch, but that’s football.
  15. And we’ve won plenty away, it’s about all results if you are going to come out with stuff like ‘he’s incredible hype over actual results’, not just the ones you’re sat at.
  16. Near 50% win rate with these players and budget, highest league position for a decade last season, all the cup wins, says his methods are working. Not a ‘love in’, mere facts. Put the ‘good football’ stuff to one side, it’s a results business and he gets them.
  17. Best season in a decade last season, we’d have gone top 6 with a win last night (plus more cup ties won in a year than TM in five), with these players and budget . So how that is ‘incredible hype’ over actual results?
  18. The players are performing. I can’t believe anyone would look at that squad and point the finger at the manager and those players. Just look at the bench last night to understand what JDT has to work with.
  19. There’s no lack of passion with these players, it’s a lack of experience and general Championship nous… and like I said we know why that is.
  20. There is no lack of passion, those lads gave everything. The blame is at the door of these owners.
  21. No Dingles, Blackpool or Wigan this season so it’s the only local game for either side, so of course they’ll fetch plenty.. as we will there.
  22. Perhaps because in the 80s and early 90s Rovers/Oldham was often the only local-ish derby (along with City) as the likes of Bolton/Burnley/PNE/Blackpool were languishing in the third and fourth divisions.
  23. I listen to Radio Lancs quite often (support local radio and all that!) When they first had him on he was wooden as anything, but he’s great value now, very dry. ‘Bought the title’, my arse, by the way! How much did Berg, Gale, Pearce, Atko, Wilcox cost again?
  24. That was Birdy all over. So often you’d see someone new on the coach or sat with him in a pre match boozer and he’d explain how he met them away at Barnsley or wherever and they’d travelled on their own, so he invited them to come with us in future.
  25. Must be joking! What you usually hear at Ewood is far closer to the Twitter fools than anything that is said on here. BRFCS has always been an outlier.
