  1. You maybe right, but for me there’s a good chance we don’t see Barnsley or Hudds…
  2. Yes, I do think the Act will be used to make games go BCD.
  3. Pretty sure that under the Coronavirus Act, the government reserves the right to close down events deemed a threat to public health.
  4. He seems to really struggle to differentiate between what he, and many others, of course, want or think should happen, with the realities of what probably will happen.
  5. There’s a (dwindling) hardcore that love it, which is fair enough if you’ve sat in your seat for 20/30 years. However, it’s striking that now it’s not the cheapest part of the ground it’s emptied far more than any other stand this season, obviously plenty (of those that haven’t just stopped entirely) have made a beeline for the JW. Which is exactly what you imagine the club wants; keeps more seats facing the cameras full and it also becomes easier for it to follow the BBU and DE Lower into closure…
  6. Will it really, who knew! There's also things called ‘briefings’, ‘leaks’, ‘off the record chats’, ‘backchannels’. But as always Chaddy, you seem to struggle with reading between the lines.
  7. Yeah think Henry Winter may have a bit more of an inside line to the clubs and PL then your good self, Chadster 😁
  8. Excellent, I was worried for a moment…
  9. That’s that then! Definitely no BCD to worry about…
  10. Simple as! Best get the Cabinet told then before the meeting breaks up!
  11. Honestly I really doubt it, I have such little interest in international football it would be a big personality change to suddenly give a shite.
  12. Every chance you won’t be!
  13. Interesting perspective, I don’t have any Scottish family, but I honestly couldn’t imagine caring less if they’d have won at Wembley the other month…
  14. They will be able to ask for more, presumably they are being initially cautious as who knows what the demand will be with everything that’s going on (if we aren’t BCD anyway by then).
  15. Jamie Vardy is of the Ian Wright mould when it comes to a route to the top, not comparable. BB would never have played for England.
  16. The plan was for it to go in the late 90s. See link: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18489397.otd-rovers-put-hotel-ewood-expansion-plans-hold/ Events of that period prevented it, and a long decline this past decade has seen it kicked far into the long grass. It obviously isn’t going anywhere, so I’m just taking wistfully about what might have been, but of course it still needs cosmetic work done to to it, but just like the disgrace that is large parts of the rest of the ground, that obviously isn’t going to be forthcoming either.
  17. Your third paragraph was my exact point, so a silly comparison to start with from a poster that has swallowed the kool-aid big time…
  18. So JW/JW couldn’t have handled this situation any better than SW? Come off it.
  19. Comparing this set up to what Jack and JW presided over 🤦‍♂️ Under Jack Walker we’d never have been in a scenario where trying to keep hold of the likes of Darragh Lenihan would be an almighty challenge!
  20. No way, a top Championship performer now, and may well carve out a decent PL career, but not a chance he’d be close to the present England set up.
  21. Oh I like that offer, covering both bases… But of course, we tried neither!
  22. Strictly ain’t my scene, but amazes me that that whenever I catch a bit, Tess Daly is still there, absolute charisma void… though it still cleans up on the ratings, so what do I know.
  23. Personally I wouldn’t do multi game bundles either, not because I’m anti-offers, I’m pro anything to fill empty seats, but they have been repeatedly proven not to work here. Usually struggle to sell even a few hundred of them. As the walk-on presumably doesn’t want to commit to a few games, especially if midweek fixtures are involved. For me, it would’ve been a £15 anywhere in the ground offer for Hudds and try to pack the place (all moot now, of course, for more ways than one).
