  1. Light blue versus dark blue often does feature, I’ve noticed. Yet, I’m sure they’ll have their away shirt on against Watford or Wolves…
  2. Get your point, but not quite true, it was only late February that the wheels came off, from memory we hadn’t even reached top until winning a load of games in January.
  3. https://twitter.com/80sAging?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author Great Twitter account on your very point!
  4. End of the day it is absolutely vital that far more of the town’s Asian population is brought into the tent for the future health of Blackburn Rovers. More and more of our current match going fanbase is living further and further from the town of Blackburn. The elephant in the room has long been the untapped half of the town where interest in Rovers has been minimal. As the community team are showing, there is enormous latent interest in football and the professed Man Utd/Liverpool ‘support’ of a lot of these youngsters and their families is actually pretty soft, and once they get a taste they realise that live football watching their home town team is a cracking day out. All power to Yasir and the team.
  5. It’s ok, as according to their forum they can now ‘change to a more attractive style’… simple as that, ay! Maybe their owners can dispense with the proven and go and get that fella from Cumbernauld in…
  6. The price of success, ay! Oh and that West Brom move will totally feck up all those who will have been booking trains…
  7. Case in point = Shay Given.
  8. Go on other forums and you see the same thing, how it’s got worse over the last couple of years etc. Obviously drink has always been a big thing on away days, but what has changed is the enormous amount of cocaine being snorted from morning till KO…
  9. You’ve changed your tune. A few weeks ago you were blaming ‘stupid players’ for not taking proper precautions if they caught Covid…
  10. My cousin lives in the US, he came home for the first time in three years over Christmas. He went to Hull and couldn’t believe just how much coke was being snorted. On the coach, in every pub toilet etc etc. Been the case for a while, obviously, but seems to be absolutely everywhere now. It was half the reason for the Wembley madness in the summer…
  11. Well obviously it’s my opinion, based on what I’ve seen here and everywhere else for donkeys years. They go hand in hand to an extent, because winning breeds confidence and the football being played will usually go up a notch. But it’s the winning that is getting the buzz, it’s the winning that got 6000+ people buying tickets over Christmas, not that they’ve heard we are knocking it about well.
  12. It really isn’t. You win each game 1-0 with a long ball and you still get folk flooding back when you are top of the league and knocking on the PL door, because you know what, winning IS entertaining.
  13. Doubled his wage by all accounts, final big contract from his perspective…
  14. I imagine there’ll be a fair few ‘odd moves’ to Newcastle, it’s a mystery!
  15. ‘Unfashionable area’, aye, like the players are all living up Shad. 🙄 The north west is one of the most fashionable areas to be based as a football club, as our players can live it up in Manchester or Cheshire with the rest of them, that’s without even mentioning the possibility of living in the Ribble Valley, you know, where their job is actually based…
  16. With playing the same team week after week, and with squad players rarely getting an U23 game, there’s still a decent side that can be put out with the first teamers that need a match.
  17. No, it’s definitely winning football than brings folk back.
  18. Leicester, he had a couple more decent years there.
  19. It’s the DW ticket office you have to buy from… maybe card machines haven’t yet made it to Wiggin…
  20. Trying to make sense of anything in the days of ‘’Cos of Covid’ is a mugs game!
  21. But you can do both, surely? Say, another 500 at Ewood, leaving another near 1000 at the DW on the day to cover off your example.
  22. Surely it would be easier from Wigan’s point of view to send us as many as possible (say another 500 considering it’s only Thursday morning) and get them sold beforehand, instead of a horde turning up on the day without tickets? Nowt as queer as football club logistics…
  23. Certainly not for a standard game in February against a club who will fetch a following in the hundreds. Get to the run in and we are still up there then it’s possible with a good ticket offer against a side who bring a decent away following… but then if it is against a side who might bring one then it will be Cat A anyway!
  24. If a player wants to have an agent, fine, but their cut comes out of said player’s end. That would soon see plenty of the parasites feck off.
