  1. What’s that got to do with a couple of hundred folk buying a ticket at a ticket office on the day? Something that was always on offer prior to BCD football. It’s obviously “‘cos of Covid’
  2. The nicotine patch of tat. The training gear with their logo on looks decent enough… so surely, *surely*, this is only a stop gap until they get a more long term solution (what am I saying, of course this will be it 🤦)
  3. Why would a bloke who’s managed just a few dozen second division matches in his entire career be the ‘right appointment’ for an established Premier League club?
  4. We ran out of shirts in August, then on the run up to Christmas and now again, with no more expected for the run in when interest is ramping up big time in the club. Though, I shouldn’t moan as this *actually* is an example of ‘excellent stock management’, according to those posters that are now sharing many a brew with Waggott et al down Ewood…
  5. Now that’s an absolutely textbook return for Vinners! 👌
  6. Aye, there was a big queue at the club shop for Luton yesterday morning…
  7. And that’s the way it will always be with youth development, some ‘year groups’ just don’t kick on how you’d hope or expect. Just think how barren it got post a golden crop of Dunn, Duff, Taylor, Johnson. If we skip some players currently 20/21, but we see quality in the younger crop of Wharton Junior and Philips breaking through soon-ish, then I’ve no issue with that.
  8. Get your point JBN, and it is obviously the way the club is going anyway, but you can’t have an entire squad made up of young lads. I’m not at the training ground, of course, but I do often watch the warm ups and how Ayala interacts with the likes of Wharton and Lenihan, I would put good money on him being a big influence on how we’ve improved at the back, both collectively and individually.
  9. … or ensuring Cornet is back
  10. Take away this highly unexpected season, and as this past decade has been spent almost entirely in this division, has it been particularly enjoyable when we are usually treading water between about 12th and 19th? I’d much rather be 12th in the PL…
  11. You thinking of Arsenal? Everton were in the second division for a few seasons in the ‘50s…
  12. Why do Everton need ‘someone who knows the club?’
  13. Good point, eeee it’s been a good while since our fans have had to think about such possibilities…
  14. £30k, but Wigan’s chairman tweeted something like it ‘wasn’t even that, nominal, think 3p’ Sounds a real mess down at Derby…
  15. Looking at it rationally, and looking at what the likes of NZ, Pakistan, South Africa get to play, should England still be playing 5 match Test series? Especially against India/Aus away from home due to the lack of competitiveness? Obviously they still will, as we are still one of only three money spinners in the Test game with those two…
  16. Perhaps others aren’t particularly bothered about the £21, have kept hold of the ticket and may/may not travel on the day… which will sound good for us as they will be part of the announced following even if they don’t trap!
  17. Hope Darren is right, but yeah I’d be very surprised if only 2/300 out of 2800 had returned their tickets, like you garns, pretty much everybody I know that had one has been refunded…
  18. RoversTV will be a chance to ‘improve content and quality’ over what was provided on RoversPlayer/ifollow according to the thread starter… how’s that working out?
  19. The Dingles are coming out with all this now as they are bottom of the table with one win in mid January. Don’t remember much carping when the same ‘boring type of football’ had them winning plenty and mid table. They ‘aren’t entertained’ because they never win, not because a club with one of the league’s lowest budgets aren’t producing this mythical ‘expansive football’.
  20. It’s very simple. If Rooney, a rookie with a couple of dozen games as a manager, wasn’t ex Everton would he be being touted for the job? Of course not, then why should he be in line just because he started his playing career there?
  21. He may have the raw talent to be so, time will tell, but he certainly doesn’t have a technique that can stand up to top level Test cricket currently.
  22. You seriously comparing the techniques of the likes of Crawley (or Burns or Hameed or Sibley) to greats of the game like Cook, Atherton or Stewart?! They are absolutely textbook compared to what on earth is going on with that lot…
  23. The same Tom Harrison that brought in, defends and got paid a whopping bonus for the abomination of ‘The Hundred’…
  24. 13-0 in Tests down there since the miracle of 2010/11…
