If you can get up and then initially survive you can make a fist of it. We’ve discussed Forest, but also the not exactly ‘massive’ Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Palace. Gates between 10k and 26k and they are looking pretty steady. Alas, we won’t get up, won’t initially survive and won’t make a fist of it.

It’ll be part of a ‘Club Sustainability Policy’ that Suhail will have signed off on… perhaps they should concentrate on becoming the ‘sustainable Premier League club’ that Broughton fella kept going on about.

January Transfer window

Ah ‘ the non-manager structure’ giving us some stability unlike managers that come and go… oh, wait, half of those folk have buggered off already this season. -
Some folk can’t cope with what they deem as ‘negativity’, so have to ignore all rational evidence and prior experience and just put their head in the sand instead.
-
August deadline, fair enough to an extent as there will be 40+ games left (still not an excuse as you want them doing a pre season with the team), however ‘wait until 5th February’ is a cop out from an unserious ‘professional’ football club- and more fool you if you go along with it.

Apart from Rev who’s being silly, who doesn’t think Tronstadt is good enough? Or Brittain? Or Hyam? But generally, yes, we obviously over analyse our own players as they are the ones we care about and see every week. But outside the parachute clubs the whole league is full of average, journeymen footballers, it’s why they play at this level. Ours can’t be uniquely crap or we wouldn’t be 5th on the 20th January, regardless of Eustace. -

It’s away games where Cantwell really struggles, often the case with that type of player. -
This place always forgets that we obsessives on here are the outliers. Most fans just want to watch a game of the club they associate with at Ewood/on a dodgy box/on Sky. They don’t give a toss about the off-field stuff - unless they see us at the wrong end of the table and then they will briefly join the dots (until we get away from it).
-
Yep. We on here pour over every minutiae around the club. The wider fanbase purely look at results. Last February it got a bit testy for the first time in a while. Why? Due to us hurtling down the table, another crap window just added to it. This window shuts after the usual January non event and nothing will particularly stir in the fanbase as we’ll be sitting inside or just outside the top 6.

Not happening. They are now too entwined with the club (I say ‘they’, I am referring to the committee, as I’m a member and I haven’t been asked on what the relationship with this ownership should be). Though in fairness to them, away from brfcs is there much groundswell against the Rao’s at this moment in time? I wouldn’t say so, not even close to where it was 12 months ago and that wasn’t particularly vitriolic.

He’s playing for a club that in all likelihood will finish about 9th in the Championship for a reason.

Will you still be doing your annual Tottenham title tip in the summer, Chadster?

Yeah don’t recognise that description of Brittain… he’s not even the slowest full back in the current squad. -

He’s painted himself into a corner and just can’t put his hand up and say ‘yep, got that one wrong’. No, shame in it, we’ve all judged players too early, unfortunately once Rev gets an opinion in his head, that’s that. -
Hang on, a certain poster was telling us that we now had a well set up structure from the academy through to recruitment and that’s why managers aren’t important anymore.

Maybe Trav and Tronstadt worked well as a partnership, complemented each others game, what you reckon? You think Trav would’ve had the season he’s had next to Baker or Buckley or Forshaw? -

Gestede has a job here he wouldn’t get near anywhere else, so I’m sure he’s happy enough. -

Yeah but the fella will get a job at Swansea or wherever next on the back of his ‘principles’, feck Barrow. -
We’ll be back to being one once Balaji’s great great grandson gets it right.

That’s a complete nonsensical argument. Boycott the BBC! In fact, why doesn’t he just stop paying the licence fee while he’s at it and get a criminal record because he’s annoyed with an FA Cup tie on iPlayer. Should he boycott going to watch Blackburn Rovers and EFL games in general as they are the ones that signed the deal? Debate properly and stop being daft.

January Transfer window

All gone a bit pear shaped for the owners, hasn’t it.. But no point changing course, just keep hold of it for another 15 years. -
To have the games going on from a Thursday night to the following Tuesday night (following all those games in the last round being moved just to satisfy overseas TV, why not kick those off at 3pm then if it’s not even a UK broadcast?) is a not pretty well disguised ‘fuck you’ to match going supporters. I’ve noticed the FA’s latest self-referential slogan is ‘The Greater Game’, when in reality what leads to ‘The Greater Revenue’ is all they’ve cared about ever since that place in north west London was re-built ridiculously over budget…
