  1. ‘The club’ should be supported at all times is the crux of it with such people. The fact that leads to them blindly defending the regime of Swag-ail and the owners when instead ‘support’ can actually be demanding said people depart from the club doesn’t compute.
  2. In reality there would never be a ‘mass walk out’ and such like - I know/know of a fair few on the FF and it just isn’t in their nature.
  3. Edwards or whoever comes in and we get a couple of results pre I imagine he won’t be mistaken.
  4. ‘Togetherness’, ‘commitment’, and all that, it’s all cliched manager bingo you should take with a huge pinch of salt. This is the game, there’s no loyalty to managers, they’re only a bad run from the sack (well, not at BRFC, but everywhere else), so why would they return the compliment?
  5. We’ve lost 10,000+ fans on their watch, normal owners would’ve moved heaven and earth to rectify that years ago, this lot just shrugged and they couldn’t care less if we lost another 10,000.
  6. Yes, a sustained media campaign, social media obviously paramount. We need to remember that those who have somehow ended up running BRFC are ‘the club’ to a hell of a lot of fans. To us, *we*, the supporters are the club as we are the perennials, but that’s not how many see it, they will blindly swallow anything that comes from an ‘official’ account as that’s Blackburn Rovers in their eyes. So the likes of Wag-ail have a head start in the PR war, so we need a co-ordinated campaign from WATR and whoever else can get hold of the narrative.
  7. All power to you, but there ‘won’t be a steady and consistent effort from the fanbase’ at the ground. We had all this a year ago, it lasted about half an hour - we will see exactly the same again, the remaining match going fanbase isn’t interested. Christ the vast majority weren’t even interested in 2011 and 2012. What’s the actual large scale show of dissent folk show when it comes to Ewood? They just stop going. If that’s me being unhelpful in your view, fair enough, but surely we need to be looking at something different than the tried and failed matchday tactics, it’s done bugger all in fifteen years.
  8. Odd thing to downvote when that’s exactly what will happen.
  9. There will be a chant or two on Saturday, they’ll then appoint Edwards or whoever and it will be all ‘get behind the lads, it’s not the right time for all this’ and that will be that.
  10. Of course we aren’t self-funding, not even close at this level - which is why we’ll soon crash down the leagues… and the owners will still be in situ.
  11. Classic divide and rule tactics - and a look at social media says it’s working a treat.
  12. Swag and Suhail are doing the job requested of them, cut costs and get the club to be self-funding. He’ll go when he’s had enough and not before.
  13. Unfortunately the LT comments are seen by a much wider audience than any on here and as a result will set the narrative with a lot of the fanbase
  14. I don’t think it is a lack of passion, it’s fifteen years of realisation that we are powerless, the owners are half a world away and couldn’t give a flying feck what we plebs think. Protest, boycott, withdraw your funds? So? Suhail can just cut the budget more is the view from Pune
  15. What is your opinion on what the Trust’s approach to the owners and board should be?
  16. ‘Who’ll want to come here now?’ was exactly the conversation after the JDT departure/January 2023 window debacle.
  17. Whacking gantries up in the Riverside to move the cameras (so to make the ground look busier, presumably for the benefit of India) took about five days one close season… to just rename it after a club legend, five years and counting.
  18. Another day to finalise the move first then. I can imagine the Swag verbal gymnastics on this one already.
  19. Tomorrow… though maybe O2G has had an email re a postponement.
  20. I was responding to the post that said every other club had full houses… clubs struggling for form didn’t. Our crowd was fine considering form, TV, shit KO time.
  21. ‘Strong positive stewardship’. Totally agree, be great to see some of that at Blackburn Rovers.
  22. … on paper it may look insane, especially for a manager with a reputation climbing ever higher, yet he still seemingly wants to go, Eddie. No more needs to be said to the complete disarray Blackburn Rovers is in off the field.
  23. Don’t underestimate how many just want to ‘get back in’. Do I expect Swag-ail to keep getting the right man? No, but they may get lucky.
  24. No idea. Just like I’d didn’t before JDT or Eustace came in.
  25. There is, and we will see that when we are in League 1 in the summer of 2026. But whilst 6th in the Championship? There will be plenty of decent managers interested.
