Get a result on Friday and I would wager you won't be hearing much (apart from the corner of BBE NO1) dissent for the rest of the season.

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

They were taken over in November (five whole months ago) and they are still attracting new investors. But let’s split hairs instead of discussing the point. -

So like I said a consortium including Modric owns Swansea. -

That’s exactly what PNE or Bolton would be doing for an equivalent estate. Here? Mail shots? Nah, remember we have our ‘Digital’ Policy.

No the Rovers way these days is to be up there until it got serious in the new year, fall away, then have a small bounce and have the slightest of slight chances by the end - did it with Bowyer, TM, JDT, so why not again… -

Both missed my point, of course it’s an interesting fact, as is the general one that we can’t beat newly promoted sides away - points to a weak mentality throughout the club. My point was to not let it distract from the overall issue that regardless of who we did/didn’t beat earlier in the season, it is the decisions made by the regime that has caused this collapse, not that we didn’t beat this team or that, on the flip side we had ‘no right’ to beat Leeds, but we did, so three points there to negate Plymouth, we were 5th, because we had earnt it, and then look what happened… -

We were fifth with 12 games to go, what types of games we didn’t/did win up to then is irrelevant. We finish in 8th to 11th and it is purely down to the regime’s decision making this season from not backing Eustace onwards. -

So like JH said the regime is not interested in promotion. -
Ooo remembers two up front? Bet Yuki does - great modern football, ain’t it… *Second reminder of the day to myself to stop being old fashioned

Any other club you know the manager would still be going ‘we’ve a chance, take each game as it comes. We go again Friday’. Waffle, obviously, but they’d at least pretend. Flip it round if, say, we were six points from safety would he be saying ‘Ned to focus on the re-build for League 1 next season’? Probably would actually, what a weird club this is. -

Indeed. We did well this season because of the manager’s ’philosophy’, not that of the collection of ‘Head Of…’’s wandering around Brockhall. Need to stop being so ‘old fashioned’, obviously! -

Crazy thing is despite the horrendous form under this manager, despite him giving up on the play offs from day 1 (despite sitting in 5th with a dozen games left)… just one extra measly win and we’d still be going in to Easter with a sniff, what a monumental, wilful rejection of professionalism and ambition all round. -
Need Pears ASAP.

No Darwen is a different case entirely. It’s Blackburn that will have seen by far the biggest decrease in match going support in comparison to any other ‘Rovers’ town/village this past twenty years.
-
Exactly. Those ‘Hyndburn’ towns are Rovers towns (and so they should be against bloody Stanley), they’ve been a Rovers hotbed for 150 years (though all three have far more Dingles then they used to). I’m talking about what the respective clubs are doing.

Surely some will be disappointed as posts leading into Sheff Wed were of the ilk ‘that we need to keep losing to keep the pressure on the campaign’. -
Not sure the majority will be from BwD anymore, the demographic change in Blackburn has been enormous the last twenty years. One look at the data will tell them that far more of the fanbase will have non-Blackburn post codes then ever before, yet they still don’t lift a finger outside the borough. Just arbitrary drawn lines on a map, it doesn’t define support areas, daft thing is if the council borders hadn’t been re-drawn in the 1970s, Darwen would still be a separate borough, so would we not bother there either as to not ‘trod on Darwen FC’s patch?’
-
For Blackburn Rovers to have a less of a profile in BB1 Rishton of all places than possibly soon to be back in non-league Stanley and probably the Dingles too sums up the wilful neglect of this regime.

Can’t be to be their main reserve keeper? Main main gets injured in say September and he’s in goal till at least January? Has to be a Scott Carson style English box tick third keeper that turns up to training, dives around a bit and then goes home with his 40k, surely?
