  1. My view is if that run had continued more of the 50/50 waverers would’ve gone the other way, football fandom is all about momentum (good or bad) and the general vibe around the place, it was horrendous a month ago, now, many more will be on the side of ‘good season that’… but yes, we’ll never know.
  2. And the reason they bumped up prices in the Riverside in the first place was to get the camera facing stands busier (which worked). Now they’ve gone the other way and it will empty out the others instead. Such a bunch of incompetents, beggars belief.
  3. He is a journeyman by any definition of said football parlance (27 and he’s been at 8 clubs). Though if being able to read Wikipedia makes me an ‘expert’, then I’ll take it 👌
  4. Claim your seat deadline has been extended too by the look of the e-ticketing.
  5. Yep, we’ve already sold more than the total sales in 2021/22 so whatever we end up selling this time it certainly won’t register as a ‘protest’. That run from nowhere by Val has saved a serious embarrassment to Swaghail.
  6. Journeyman that’s spent his career in Ukraine, Belgium, Watford, Forest and a few loans and he’s on that kind of money. What a time to be a pro footballer (the likes of Simon Garner must want to weep).
  7. You’d imagine he’d be surplus to requirements at Birmingham, they’ll be eyeing back to back promotions a la Ipswich. But two years left on his deal.
  8. Three seasons out of four around the top end of the league on a bottom half budget. I have many issues with the owners, but considering the dysfunctional set up they have to work in I have no qualms with what has been served to me on the pitch by managers and players.
  9. The Gooner is on the record in the last set of FF minutes saying his target is to increase revenue, that ain’t happening if they are 2,000 STs down on last year’s total and they then hike prices. But yeah, it’s a ‘thank you to the fans’, not a panic move at all…
  10. Also they keep the claim your seat deadline until the end of the phase, even an extended one, so say you fancy moving seats next to your pals or whatever, but there’s no seats available close by, you therefore can’t unless you wait until phase 2 when non renewed seats open up (and it will cost you an extra £50). One product, one price.
  11. Yep, banned in youth football now until they turn 12.
  12. Better than nothing but should be till the end of May to catch another payday (or better yet, how about no phases - one product, one price).
  13. Don’t recall your answer, sorry. Pretty simple question, is Rudy the right person to be heading ‘football operations’ at Blackburn Rovers?
  14. Don’t think you can pick individual games and say ‘that’s the one’. As who knows how the other games would’ve subsequently gone. Could’ve got a point down Bristol, but then not got that late Sheff Wed goal. We’ll never know, but what my opinion is not backing Eustace is what cost us.
  15. So you think we now have the right people with the likes of Rudy Gestede?
  16. Was a really poor goal, especially as the commentators had just been lauding the ‘physical presence of Hyam’ 🤦‍♂️
  17. Amazing that he sees no issues on the football side (I.e not the Commercial and communication side before you start reeling off your commercial and comms plan).
  18. That would’ve been a good idea until this summer. Hudds crowds have been built on years of cheap STs… and they’ve just hiked them up hundreds of quid for next term (after their worst season for nearly two decades too).
  19. Which for a bloke that has lived surrounded by Rovers fans for almost thirty five years has always grated on me.
  20. ‘Decent season that in the end, you know what I will renew’… No you can’t, now off sale - and you’ll be charged an extra fifty quid when we do get round to putting them back on sale. ‘err, nah’
  21. Sheff Utd were one of the worst teams the PL has ever seen. They conceded five at home in four consecutive games… back in this league they still finished miles away from everybody else below them in 3rd
  22. Masher knew what you meant too, but he can’t help but be pedantic (think he trawls the forum in order to find as many posts as possible to go ‘acthhhhualy…’)
  23. Exactly, hit your revenue target in the most risk free way is their approach. Why would Swaghail risk missing their target/bonuses for the sake of a few thousand extra bums on seats (for the good of the team, the atmosphere, the future health of the fanbase? Nah, we’ll stick to the 9k if it’s all the same)?
  24. Yep, draws are what have done for them this season (they’ve actually lost two fewer games than us).
