  1. Only at this club can a manager come through the door with a dozen games left, sitting in 6th place… four games later the season’s been written off and its ’a re-build for next year’. A ridiculous outfit from top to bottom.
  2. Nightlife has changed. Young people just don’t sup the same, nightclubs have collapsed. But on the flip side micro pubs/craft beer/micro breweries have boomed. Day drinking over the old ‘I’ll meet you at half 8’ too.… Which all works for me as a beer hipster who ain’t 21 anymore 😅🍻
  3. Fans at the back of NO1 are now allowed to stand… be news to them.
  4. Chadster, just a reminder in case you’ve forgot you need to change your pic to one of the manager.
  5. Councils rejecting licences is just the latest nail in the coffin for Britain's night time economy, which is struggling enough due to rents/rates, booze costs, general cultural/demographic change. Read something the other day that a London council had rejected a late licence for a jazz club due to 'potential anti social behaviour'. Miles Davis fans scrapping with Duke Ellington fanboys, presumably...
  6. The horror of folk having a few beers in the vicinity at a weekend. 😱 Guess what residents there were pubs on every corner in residential areas like that not very long ago, the heart of the community. NIMBY Britain.
  7. Guess what, you’re ‘relentless’ too it’s why the top 3 are a mile away from everyone else.
  8. ‘Too late for us’, even though there’s 8 games left, they are 25 games unbeaten, just two points away and still have to play the team directly above them. As always feck off with the ‘little owd Burnley routine’ as a parachute club you are obviously up there because you have better players than most of the league.
  9. No issue with that here as opening Blues Bar is too much like hard work.
  10. So John Park had nothing to do with it? The recruitment was a complete mess in his absence in January…
  11. What a pathetic attempt at marking the occasion this will be… compare and contrast to the 125th commemoration.
  12. We end up in 12th and it’s down to this shite appointment, not a chance the wheels would have fallen off to that extent if JE had stayed. The performances and morale of the players have very quickly fallen off a cliff.
  13. He was a great appointment seemingly purely on the back of scoring a few second division goals a decade ago. The bloke had never had a single off the pitch job prior to this one. A ridiculous appointment for a ridiculous club.
  14. Remember in the summer when some long standing posters who really should know better were crowing at what a great appointment this was…
  15. It would be a huge surprise and it won’t be true, just like the annual ‘we’ll be in administration this time next year’ predictions never are.
  16. The distance of the owners from any of this and the opaque management structure they have over here, as well as knowing they couldn’t give a flying fuck what we plebs think is what makes this so difficult. Yes we know of the ‘but who’d put 20 million in?!’ brigade, they’re beyond help, but there’s also a hell of a lot of fans who would be delighted to be shut of them, know they’ve been a disaster… but they also know they aren’t remotely interested yet won’t countenance a sale, so what’s the point in protests and all that? It’s a fairly unique situation from what I can see and after *FIFTEEN YEARS* it has led to a fanbase that has no fight left.
  17. ‘We are not an attractive purchase for anyone’. Current Premier League: Forest 3rd, Brighton 7th, Fulham 8th, Bournemouth 10th, Brentford 11th, Crystal Palace 12th. Even putting to one side our stature, history, infrastructure, it’s not even a theoretical ‘worth a punt on a sleeping giant’ thing as we’ve actually spent the last 3/4 years largely around the play off places for a spot in that league… but nah *no-one* will ever buy us so let’s hope Venky’s stay for evermore, ‘Bury’ etc.
  18. The most notable dissent since day 1 has been the collapse in crowds, we’ll see another visible iteration of it next season.
  19. Won’t happen as plenty in the ground still see them as the only possible people ‘to put x million in’ and it’s the rest of us that are the fools… and the likes of Swag-hail know that all too well.
  20. Defo be true, doesn’t everyone leave BRFC to be closer to the family? I mean, Rothwell would be still here if it wasn’t for that
  21. Swag goes, hooray! (He’s a foot out the door already). Some other stooge gets the job as an on-paper CEO and on it goes Does selling 695 STs lead to a Venky sale?
  22. Nobody has explained to me why a big drop in ST sales would lead to anything? c20k when they bought us, 6,995 in 21/22, and what? We sell 695 this summer, and what?
  23. He’s cheap and will do as his told could have been many others too - Bowyer, Coyle etc. they weren’t given three and a half year deals… even King Rat, the stooges stooge wasn’t.
  24. From what I can see, at three and a half years this contract length is longer than what any other manager has been given here on appointment since this lot darkened our doors - why?
  25. We go round in circles with this. You only get organic dissent in the ground of any strength when the team is towards the bottom of the league, simple as that. Most fans purely focus on results/league position, they’ve not the foggiest clue about off field stuff (though maybe if they joined the dots they’d work out *why* the team is crap)
