  1. When we were in the PL. It was a one off game that stoked the imagination of the fanbase due to a few factors… obviously not the norm and means nothing in the grand scheme of things apart from get promoted and you’ll see it every week - but we won’t, so we won’t.
  2. If there wasn’t a queue offering big money because clubs still had doubts, how about not selling him to the first bidder then? Oh that’s right they’d put a ‘please buy him we can’t pay our bills’ stamp on his head…
  3. Yes and we were back to c10k in the ground for Portsmouth the week after, the Dingle crowd is irrelevant. Big crowd for a big derby like at every club.
  4. Most fans just don’t care about the off field stuff, they didn’t in 2010 to 2012 (as us big minority of protesters know too well), they don’t now. However, if the on field product is crap as a result of said off the field stuff they just walk away.
  5. The proof in the pudding will be ST sales across the Championship this summer after a season of this mass inconvenience across the league for fans. If sales stay steady then they’ve got away with it, if they don’t the clubs/EFL have killed the golden goose…
  6. To be fair, Sky are only running the show because the clubs want them to. It’s on them, they signed the contract - yet the clubs always cannily seem to avoid any criticism when the fixture changes get announced.
  7. ‘So Valèrien, what do you think of Dennis?’ ’no impact, now he’s banned, but he’s a body, I suppose’.
  8. So if Watford gets moved we’ll have had SIX Saturday 3pm games at Ewood all season…. Just over a quarter
  9. Yep purely went for the money, case closed. JDT also purely went for the mon…oh.
  10. Always take this stuff with a pinch of salt.
  11. ‘So, Valerién, what do you think of the coaching staff you have inherited?’ ’They’re shit, but I needed the job’.
  12. Their place last season was a bottle job, that one wasn’t, just better players being more clinical
  13. ‘In shock’ that two managers in a year have walked. Real mystery, ain’t it…
  14. I had heard all his mates from his Oxford days all actually lived on Sandbanks…
  15. Most of the other half are pretty ‘meh’ too…
  16. Why would the fanbase do that when half of it sees no particular issue with the owners?
  17. Take it Damien Johnson or whoever would ‘show some loyalty’ if Liverpool came calling?
  18. Mercer, March 2028: Think an insolvency scenario within the next 3 years is the most likely and almost inevitable outcome.
  19. Was on a stag do with a good number of Rovers fans over the weekend. Thought I’d test the water re Eustace, to a man he was a snake and the owners didn’t get a mention - which makes sense to me, most fans couldn’t care less about the off field stuff.
  20. The horse thing is so lame, trying desperately to get something to stick like the ‘Dingle’ tag instantly did.
  21. Clubs at all levels have comms teams churning out this stuff, always have to an extent - think of ‘manager programme notes’ of yore that was the same collection of platitudes every week. Nowt to get in a tiz about.
  22. Poor do it wasn’t on the egg letter headed paper.
  23. So it was a terrible sale whichever way you slice it, but hey ho, we had a gas bill to pay that the billionaires wouldn’t.
  24. End of the day there’s a new manager and we are sitting in the play off places with 12 games to go, so nothing is going to get much traction at the moment. It has to be the long game (which is fine as we are never too far from the next shambles).
  25. Bristol City got £25million for Scott, who’s not in the same stratosphere as Adam Wharton… but they weren’t distressed sellers.
