Ah, so just your opinion then (also, I said dozens ‘those clubs’ hoover up, I.e the ‘Big 6’, as was, not just Tottenham on their own). It was £2million, absolute peanuts for a Tottenham - the equivalent of us bringing in that O’Riordan for a negligible fee with the hope he also could make it at a higher level… he didn’t, young lads are a gamble, but it’s a low stakes one if a minuscule fee, so out on loan he goes too.

Two reasons, one, not a bank holiday and two, since the act of union, ‘Englishness’ has often been conflated with ‘Britishness’. Probably less so since devolution, but it is why national ‘days’ in England have more revolved around sporting and royal events over a saint/national day.

That article says Tottenham thought he was a ‘superstar’ over and above the dozens of other hoovered up teenagers, where?
-
Did Tottenham really think he was going to be a ‘superstar’ or just another one of the dozens of teenagers those clubs hoover up for peanuts on the off chance an odd one actually is? The rest of them? Just loan them out until they eventually get rid, no skin off their nose.

If sales really are as bad as we think, surely they aren’t actually going to bang then up in price in a week? So, what, charging £450 for a Blackburn End ST or £550 for JWU for next season before this season has even finished? Completely lost it down there
-
It will be higher than some on here expect. But like I said the other day they timed the release at the worst possible time - just as results were tanking, Glen’s campaign was ramping up and Boardroom-gate. I’d wager if they’d have gone on sale on Tuesday (on a good run, dissent has died down, outside chance of top 6) they’d sell ok, but a fair few will have made their mind up not to renew back in March. I’ll go for 6/7k, which is still a complete disaster, but it won’t push them any closer to the door.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3evw09794xo Another piece on him. Yep, he’s going elsewhere sooner rather than later, with a decent sell on… so obviously another ‘significant investment’ will be coming the team’s way. Not cheap these three month loans.

Or he’ll be overseeing our no mark one as CEO (post its downgrade from Cat 1).

Fifteen years in and we are still bouncing from ‘model’ to ‘model’. Even this season we’ve gone from filling the side with experienced pros now we are back to judging success by ‘academy minutes’ on the pitch. Insane way to try and run a club at this level, good job we won’t be at this level soon enough.

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Difference being if handed my dosh over to, say, Chorley, my expectation would be their board are doing everything they can to get the best possible side on the pitch their resources allow in order to progress up the league(s). -
Of course, as they did last summer after just a week saying ‘best first week sales on record’… we sold a mighty 9,000 in the end (4k adults). Obviously burnt all the pre-regime era records.

‘We are a development club - but please give us up to £500 for a season ticket’ ’No’ being the response from the fanbase… guess what, actions have consequences -
Find me any other side at any level that are sitting in 5th place with 12 games left and then publicly come on the record to state that they weren’t interested in promotion but to ‘lay the foundations for next season’ instead. What even is this ‘club’? As it obviously isn’t a professional football one.

He’s getting on podcasts because it’s a jobs for the boys industry and they all call in favours when required. -
Venus was always more the dubious character (but they do come as a pair).

No surprise it’s those that have family connections. I imagine the Coar extended family come out with this claptrap too. Can’t say I’ve heard much anti-Glazer stuff from ‘honorary’ directors or ‘ambassadors’ at Man Utd either. -

You deserve all the brickbats thrown you way, if you think they are ‘cheap’ or not. You have absolutely no right to call out the likes of arbito when he’s been right on these owners from day one and you are now posting with the holier than thou air of the born again Christian. Have some self reflection. To quote Citizen Clem ‘A period of silence from you would be most welcome’ -

‘It’s a minority of match goers’, certainly will be if you polled the 5,000 ST holders left next season. Obviously struggles to compute that there may well be a far larger disgruntled set of fans that have walked away. -
‘Emotional journey’. Think you’ll find the AI chat bot they engaged for the ST campaign already has they covered… ‘In a special season which will mark our landmark 150th anniversary, we invite you to join us in creating unforgettable memories together. This year, we celebrate our past and embrace our future. From our humble beginnings to becoming three-time Champions of England, Blackburn Rovers' journey has been defined by passion, pride and unwavering perseverance.’

This the same Gestede sticking in your craw that you were delighted about when he was appointed nine whole months ago?

‘Head in the sand’ and not thinking of the ‘long term future of the club’ from the Venky Number 1 apologist on here this past decade. Don’t know how he has the brass neck. -
Hyam is a new deal now, Chadster, you know how options work and there is absolutely no new negotiation on the club’s part, come on now
-
I do, the guy wilfully helped destroy this football club, and the two aren’t remotely comparable.
