  1. ‘Ooo remembers The Model?
  2. Pep should have jumped ship in the summer.
  3. I suppose the question is will family/peer pressure still turn those younger ones into glory club fans? As within the Asian community it’s now been 2/3 generations of defaulting to those two clubs in red. It’s great work (including the likes of yourself who chaperone), but it is vitally important for the future of the fanbase that we get hold of (enough) of the youth of Blackburn before their heads are turned.
  4. Adam Wharton is a ‘pre-orientator’ according to some journo on Five Live.
  5. Silver lining is they built the John Lewis Complex as a result… which as a kid I thought was the height of sophistication.
  6. Only a matter of time with that arm
  7. The deleted poster did have a point on moderation though. One view gets to stay as presumably it is deemed the unquestionable truth whereas his is deleted forthwith (his should have been deleted by the way, but why isn’t all political stuff removed from this part of the forum? It’s why I purposely don’t read/ask for permission to see the political board).
  8. Calling it ‘woke’ was a bit of a piss take meme from what I read of it, you see it a lot online for stuff that comes out of left field stuff tactically, which obviously would be the case in this instance, it’s a Championship game corner kick, not, you know, the LGBT views of some pie in the sky potential signing, or something.
  9. Think there’s an EFL deal with ITV to put a handful of Championship games on free to air this season - same with the League Cup.
  10. They’re building a new ground with it.
  11. They are selling more STs than they’ve sold in decades and their gates are still pretty much around ours (Tin)pot, kettle, etc…
  12. Ours could easily not have been given, the fact no Rovers player claimed for it tells you that.
  13. Of course we got lucky with the ref, I’m as blue tinted glasses as they come, but I know I’d be fuming if the roles were reserved - you definitely would, Chadster. But that’s football, we’ve been on the receiving end of some stinkers too, so hey ho Nobbers.
  14. Some folk on here may have given Gueye ‘stick’… I.e. ‘I don’t think he’s very good’. I imagine between the Dingle sending off and Christmas many at games thought the same, but you’d never know as they got right behind him - just like they did with Ben Brereton (for years). Proper supporters here and don’t let anyone tell you different.
  15. Swag can have a quick journey back home after the game too.
  16. Fair play to Travis and Eustace, the leaders of the group that need to keep collective heads up - though they will no doubt be fuming with the hierarchy of this ridiculous set up.
  17. Just seems like every club attempting the same set up to attempt to play the same way (badly usually). 😴
  18. Everyone has gone down the DoF route, but a bit like everybody now playing Pep ball, is football actually better for it?
  19. Coventry not so long ago were very much in the doldrums crowds wise under an ownership that had no interest in the club… guess what happened next.
  20. Not sure the likes of Ross County and St Johnstone are even at that standard.
  21. He doesn’t give a flying feck about Blackburn Rovers or its fans, so he’ll disembark the gravy train when he’s good and ready.
  22. I assume they will, and it’s obvious why Sky would want to give less notice as the season gets towards its climax, they what to pick matches with something riding on them - however that makes no difference to the fan who has had to hold off on trains etc (or take a chance on one assuming a game will stay at Saturday 3pm) to their financial detriment. It’s no hardship to Sky to pick the games well in advance in the first two thirds of the season as those matches don’t have the same jeopardy. From now on you get feck all notice as they want their money’s worth, so let’s not pretend they’ve been altruistic towards fans.
  23. Who the hell thinks the current Rangers set up can win the Premier League? They struggle enough up there. The argument has always been, as clubs with enormous fanbases, add PL money to the equation and they would compete in time - which of course is why they’d never get a seat at the English football table as Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas.
