  1. Ewood Park in 2025 is not a difficult environment in which to be a footballer, however it is not and never will be like a day at a Lord’s test match, that’s just the demographics of football crowds (I know, I l know what a bunch of oiks they are, but alas we can’t sack the fans).
  2. If you think present day Ewood is a tough place to place you can’t go many away grounds.
  3. Very supportive crowd is Ewood, a great place to ply your trade.
  4. That’s football fans, he’ll get it much worse at most other Championship clubs - and he’ll know that.
  5. Who’s shot themselves in the foot? A dozen or so folk on an obscure message board criticising him will be part of his future career decision making? Aye, ok! Got to do better than that, Bradders. 😀
  6. He made a rash decision in my view, however he couldn’t get away from BRFC quick enough (just like the last manager) and that isn’t all due to him wanting a fatter contract like you seem to think it is.
  7. Still not reading anything in that post that points to any structural issues at Blackburn Rovers, just the age old employee wants away for more cash and a longer contract. I’m all for balance with this situation, yet can’t see any with OOJW…
  8. What don’t you understand? I said is it ‘purely’ down to JE being a greedy snake. I.e. of course it isn’t, there’s nuance to what happened.
  9. Yes we get it, all this is purely down to The Snake wanting a few extra grand. But there’s nothing else underlying in your view to two managers walking (and repeatedly trying to orchestrate a move a long time before) in 12 months?
  10. Like most clubs then.
  11. People can have any opinion they want at work, in the pub, over the garden fence as long as they get behind them at games and he’s had full throated support since day 1, just like BB did even when he was struggling for years - very supportive fans here.
  12. Gueye has been popular since day one.
  13. Ok, a million, 1.2million, whatever. There will be plenty of suitors, why? Because he’s an established Championship player and they’ll see it as a more than reasonable price.
  14. Doesn’t matter if he’s ‘worth’ 1.5m+, he’ll actually go for 500k-800k which is more than a decent deal for a Championship club.
  15. We’ve been through week after week of Saturday/midweek games since Christmas - now one match a week till mid March (then an international break), players coming back fit/new signings getting up to speed. Been burnt before these past few seasons getting giddy, so I’m not going to think about it too much, but on paper, well…
  16. He’s a decent Championship player, like he has been for years. A load of clubs at this level will be more than happy to take a free transfer.
  17. Interesting today. Crowd right behind the players, but despite sitting fifth also a ‘stand up if you hate Venky’s’, first time I’ve heard that in, what, 7/8 years? And plenty stood up, even in the Jack Walker from what I could see.
  18. Exactly right. It’s a transactional industry. Clubs show no loyalty to managers, so why should a manager return the favour?
  19. Noticed that Plymouth fans can pick up pre bought tickets from the Away Ticket Office tomorrow, (so obviously a manned desk), but can’t just turn up and buy one as ‘no sales on the day’. Why?
  20. Exactly right, makes me laugh how many folk are actually sore that a manager doesn’t actually believe the cliches he comes out with, but is just trying to advance his career). I haven’t listened to an interview from one probably since Mark Hughes*, it’s all leadership course banalities mixed in with media training (*I made an exception for JDT, as, well, that charisma, calling out whoever he pleased when he pleased and the perma-smirk just did it for me 🤩)
  21. Yeah only Mani saw something off the back off that famous friendly game 20 minutes. In reality most of us saw something pre the Dingle red card after which he lost his rhythm and his confidence drained away. A confidence player - the Sheff Wed header was the catalyst.
  22. A win last night, fifth in the league, Eustace is a ‘snake’ according to much of the fanbase, so we can wave goodbye to any match day dissent (NO1 singing the ‘I don’t care about Venky’s chant, aside). So, it has to be the social media etc campaigns if we want any traction.
