  1. It will continue. ’The evil ruler would burn their own land to the ground and rule over the ashes’
  2. The Blackburn End will be edging towards £500 by KO… reasonable, that ain’t.
  3. Behind the goal is now the most expensive lower tier in the ground - another cynical cash in as they see that it is heavily populated with long standing ST holders whose loyalty can be rinsed (as well as the gimmick of a few rows of safe standing). What a disgraceful bunch of people we've somehow ended up running/owning this grand old club.
  4. England qualifying groups 20/30 years ago certainly weren’t as easy as they’ve been over the past decade. The days of groups with an Italy or a Germany in it have long gone. The way it is now with so many small countries in Europe post the fall of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia and even the likes of Gibraltar get a slot, ergo most groups are largely cannon fodder for the top sides.
  5. So the wider game didn’t appreciate how good he was? Probably best not to take the first offer that came in then and bide some time until it’s caught up, or how about building a side around him and try and get promoted yourself, you know, the point of professional football … oh, that’s right we had the owners’ bills to pay for them. We’ll go round in circles on this, nobody disagrees that we’d have got £30million in January 2024… so you keep him and utilise the player yourself, especially when he’s a fan happy to stay… but of course, Venky’s had other ideas.
  6. Yea of course my 7 year would support Rovers, wouldn’t even be up for discussion.
  7. …or he could have stayed here and been the cornerstone of a promotion side and we could be enjoying him in the Premier League instead - I know, I know, crazy talk!
  8. Or someone in the Commercial team has been reading ‘Marketing for Dummies’ and it’s all about ‘building anticipation’
  9. Yes, people like you will be - you spend a load of your time on a Rovers message board, you are heavily in the financials, you get involved with the Trust, protests etc, you are obviously still heavily invested. I’m talking about the ones that just watched a game at Ewood once a fortnight and that was about it, a load of our 20,000 ST holders were such fans, they walked away c2012, they’ve gone, and the vast majority won’t ever be back, as they are long, long out the habit.
  10. Article in todays Sunday Times raving about him. Predicting he’ll be the midfield controller a la Kroos, Busquets and Pirlo that England have been missing for decades… and we bundled him out the door to the first bidder. Another shameful episode from these disgraceful owners.
  11. If they now ‘support’ that club themselves, then yes they need slagging.
  12. The state of this qualification competition now the WC is 48 teams. If they are going to insist the Nations League has to stay, use that as the tournament for WC qualifying, as this is a farce. Some of the groups have *four* teams in them! With the likes of England strolling around for a year against the likes of Albania - in what way is it any test for the real thing?
  13. They’ve only sacked one manager, Coyle (and that was months too late), in ten years. If he does by some miracle get potted when the owners see him nicely sitting on a contract till 2028, it will be far too late to salvage the season.
  14. Interesting reading the comments under the official Rovers Facebook post re season tickets, read more like a brfcs thread. Quite the sea change in the fanbase in just a month or so…
  15. If only, they’ve long gone and why wouldn’t you after 12 years of doing something else with your weekends (and cash).
  16. So like he said those three straight games are on Sky… just as the STs come out, another reason for folk to think ‘feck renewing’.
  17. Is he buggery or he wouldn’t be getting farmed out to the lower leagues (especially with our weak squad).
  18. At the start of next season he’ll be turning 24 and he’s currently in and out the side at Leyton Orient. Give it up, rigger!
  19. I’m just praying the end is nigh for Pep-ball across the game. So, so boring… but it won’t be as the ‘analysts’ will have an avalanche of data that backs up how marvellous it is for xG and the like.
  20. Foden, like Grealish is a highly talented footballer… but has been Pep-ed.
  21. ‘Record sales for this stage’ was an actual line they were spouting the other summer… we ended up selling a very much non-record 9k. I suppose the pre-regime BRFC with its c20k ST holders now belongs to another timeline somewhere.
  22. ‘My club’ is being written off by those who own and run it.
  23. Not really, like the Rovers academy sides most of them won’t make it to the senior side anyway and the ones that do will learn ‘game management’ from the vast majority of the time they spend playing club football.
