Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Mattyblue replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The ‘TK’ Twitter account made its first ever tweet yesterday (joined earlier this year and has spent most of it replying to Rovers related posts parroting the regime’s lines).. well, I’m shocked, *shocked* -

It will. We saw that with Stoke last season. Just the way it is, and why it’s always been difficult on a match day as most fans mood purely shifts on what they see on the pitch. The non-matchday/soca media stuff is therefore so important. -
Travis will be 28 a couple of months into next season - ergo his next contract will be *the* contract in terms of getting ready for retirement in the best possible financial position, as well as thinking about what can he achieve on the pitch. So why on earth would he stay here on the back of a good season on a personal level, he’s seen that this club is a shambles and knowing the offer he’ll get (when they can be arsed putting one on the table) will in all likelihood be a relative piss take in comparison with what he could command elsewhere?

A play off place could have led to something transformative for this football club. Why shouldn’t we have pushed the boat out for a short term manager? It may well have failed, but as what they did do instead for the remainder of the season has failed, badly, regardless. What did we have to lose? -

‘Wants to play a high pressing game’ is just standard cliche. We won’t be playing a high pressing game if the players have switched off from this plonker that’s been foisted on them. -

That boardroom belonged to an era in which Blackburn Rovers was owned and run by Blackburners who did everything they could to get the best possible team on the pitch their resources allowed - the whole point of professional football. It was then moved and painstakingly re-built brick by brick in the new stand, as Jack wanted a link between our heritage and where he wanted to take the club. So to see those three carpet-bagging chancers sitting in that esteemed place to try and convey to the football world and the fanbase some sheen of respectability and authority, some link to those real Rovers men that came before, whilst in reality they are only here to downsize and cut back the club on behalf of some family half way round the world sums up the whole grotesque charade of Venky-BRFC. -

I only just tuned in, he was the next to last speaker scheduled by the sounds of it… -
They’ve posted again stating they are still patiently waiting for a meeting. I’m afraid they’ve been completely taken over by events and in the fan group sphere they have been rapidly usurped by a more innovative and focused collection of folk. A shame, as run by good Rovers people - but they just haven’t grasped the nettle, haven’t thought on their feet and have very quickly become insignificant.

That’s without doubt right, and that is a narrative we need to get out there more generally. The likes of ‘TK’ can’t be allowed to get away with spouting nonsense that nobody would ever buy a club of our history, stature, indeed who has been knocking on the door of the PL for the majority of the last four seasons. Of course there’s interest, we just need to to everything we can to make the owners actually leave the door ajar…

Just tuned in to hear ‘TK’ saying Waggott’s doing a great job, nobody would ever buy us, and we can’t afford to buy players, if we do we’ll go bust… and he wasn’t called out on a single opinion, all very strange. -

Quickest sacking in football, here? For a bloke with a three and a half year deal? What do you reckon? -

The U23s were just reclassified as U21, we’ve never had both concurrently. -
‘Highest ever March sales’… for a club that normally does well to get them on sale before June.

The irony of them never getting their finger out and putting them on sale early… the year they finally do the club torpedos itself even more viscously than normal the very week they go on sale. Might as well as have waited till June like usual and gone for the standard playbook of getting Nixon to pretend The Warchest was about to be opened.

I’m taking about what we would do. Of course he will be here, he’s contracted till 2028, so the owners obviously have no issue with League 1.
