  1. Disingenuous as always. Come out with pie in the sky figures like ‘we need to sell 23,000 STs if we have £150 pricing like many fans want’ Who is suggesting 150 quid tickets? Of course there couldn’t possibly be a middle ground between what we charge and 150 quid. Fundamentally a slippery bunch protecting their positions who seem very apt at chucking in straw men arguments to deflect.
  2. I have not ‘naysayed’ anything. My point is if folk aren’t turning up in numbers to the pre game meet ups (they never do, especially if the team is winning) then there’s not a lot you can do about it - so let’s focus on things that do get traction, I.e the social media/other media stuff Glen is doing. Unless the team is crashing to relegation you won’t get much take up at Ewood, the vast majority of the crowd purely react to results, it’s as simple as that, it’s not besmirching your efforts in any way.
  3. They must have just read the rulebook as Swag has *never* mentioned it previously... and doesn't explain that club a few miles to the west.
  4. Odd how a guy that started just doing community work for the club around Blackburn lives in Luton, but I suppose WFH takes may forms…
  5. ‘Best we’ve had’… isn’t he the only one we’ve had since Shagnew?
  6. No revisionism from me, a decent Championship player, like he has been for years. The only revisionism I can see is from those now tiptoeing away from their 'he's a League 1 player', 'he'll never play at this level again' statements.
  7. I'd prefer them if they were standing at the Riverside side of the Blackburn End, so with views of a pretty full JW and Blackburn End lower instead of a sparse Riverside and Darwen End... kinds of loses its 'big moment' feel.
  8. So bit of momentum then... so presumably they won't be nipping that in the bud by increasing prices at the weekend?
  9. ‘Steaming pish till March’ for a still 23 year old who was a regular for team around the top 6. He’s inconsistent… like most in this league, it’s why he plays (and will continue to play at this level). Like I said, lack of understanding on what makes a Championship player.
  10. Exactly, poor K-Hod 😄 There hadn’t even been a meeting since November (very poor from the regime, but what else is new), so a few extra days for the minutes? 🤷‍♂️
  11. How about the deals to those players that will actually be wanted elsewhere? I.e Travis, Tronstadt, Brittain, how they coming along?
  12. Bloody hell rigger, you are almost as daft with this as Rev with his Tronstadt stance. Give it up 😄 Dolan has been pretty much a nailed on starter for years for a team that has spent three out of four seasons around the play off places for the Premier League - Markanday is still being loaned out to League 1 and 2… and he’s three months older!
  13. The pointless angst we’ve had re all things Fans Forum all the years, ‘where ARE those minutes! (me included BTW!)… largely to then read a load of deflection and waffle from clowns like Swag.
  14. You’ve never forgot that, Gav. 😄 To be fair my surprise was more the fact it sold out quickly for a 12pm game on a Sunday, not that we could sell out an away end in far flung, err, Yorkshire for an FA Cup quarter final! I shouldn’t have been really as fans these days are so used to stupid kick off times it makes no difference for a big game.
  15. Not sure about that, largely because half the league is now Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Brighton, Palace etc who wouldn’t be fetching too many up to Ewood (especially when you’ll have very few 3pm games). We would only get close to sell outs outside the big boy games if they went back to the ‘Taking Back Ewood’ campaigns, i.e cheap STs in order to have Rovers fans in all stands outside the Darwen End Upper (and that won’t happen under this regime as they would totally misjudge the fanbase like usual and try and charge top whack). A Brentford at 5.30pm would see 20k at best without a Taking Back Ewood.
  16. Russell Martin still in line for gigs and budgets at a decent level? Pep-Ball some way to run yet then, *sigh*
  17. Presumably they’ll now be asking for an extra 400 or so considering the bottom tier allocation is normally c2,900?
  18. Saved their bacon has Val these past couple of weeks, get him a new five year deal ASAP.
  19. Rudy’s signing for the special delivery in the shop.
  20. People ‘slagging him off’ on here for years don’t understand this division. Good player at this level and grafts his arse off week in week out. The wage he’s been on relative to other nailed on first teamers has been a joke for years and no wonder he’s looking elsewhere.
  21. End of the day they don’t sack managers so all you can do is hope that this guy can produce the goods as we’d need to be hurtling towards League 1 before they’d even countenance potting him (and when/if they bothered doing that it would inevitably be too late).
  22. Season ticket phase 1 deadline is supposedly the end of this week and we have a huge game in five days and they don’t open the ticket office. Only at Venky Rovers.
  23. Even in our glory days we had that stinker of a Wilcox penalty in another FA Cup quarter final over there.
  24. No Sky will always focus on the relegation battle over who wins the title (would have been different if automatic promotion itself was still up for grabs).
  25. Sounds about right to me, I’d assume the extra 1k would go on sale Monday/Tuesday.
