  1. Exactly, so the PL will be even more desperate to cosy up to TV - so more live games will be Sky’s negotiating tactic.
  2. There isn’t one, so we will continue for evermore in this bizarre embrace where the lights are kept on but the club continues to shrink. It was their own arrogance that ensured they took this fabled ‘advice’, these were the bosses of an international conglomerate, not the local butcher. It is these owners that have reduced this club to a mere shadow of what it was a decade ago. Trashing the legacy of Jack and the likes of John Williams that had built the most successful town club in this country. Yes they pay the bills, but it is all a mess of their own creation. The club is now in a position where we will never achieve anything with them, but would also be in severe strife without them. So forgive and forget? No, nay, never.
  3. You’ve had a quick conversion to the merits of Samuel, Joe. You wanted him gone before our last game at Derby (a game he didn’t get off the bench in. Ouch! Cutting remarks like that but 25 minutes of pitch time later (for a team well in control of the game) you’re waxing lyrical and wanting him signed up, some U-turn that!
  4. Bring on the empty ground. We’ve been bloody dreadful at Wigan for years, so thousands of pissed up Rovers fans having a sing song hasn’t helped us out much.
  5. Interesting to hear Colin Murray and Dean Ashton waxing lyrical on Quest about our strength in depth...
  6. I wouldn’t worry about the ‘one device’ thing. My laptop was playing up, so I logged out of that and logged in to the app on my phone and it had no issues.
  7. I’m sure Tyler has only started with that this last few years, maybe as he got older he wanted a trademark to remember him by, like Michael Buffer...
  8. Going into the last 5 minutes, 8 away sides were in the lead. Could have been just a freak day, as the Bundesliga started the same way, but more home sides are now winning there again, but we certainly shouldn’t worry about going to Wigan and Barnsley.
  9. Showing a bit of form when chasing a new deal after offering very little throughout your time at a club is something you see time and again with footballers. A reversion to the mean next season is to be expected. But this is a pointless discussion anyway as I imagine he will get a new deal as he’ll be cheap and we won’t be seeing DG again after July.
  10. Real race to the bottom this! The fact Gallagher’s not much cop either doesn’t mean DS is good enough for a play off chasing team. Difference is one is under contract, one isn’t,
  11. The fact Samuel’s been generally bang average throughout his time here would be a good enough reason for me. Give him another month, obviously, then both sides move on if we actually have aspirations to keep improving the side.
  12. Main game on Quest! We really do live in upside down times
  13. Some first rate buck passing by the EFL today. Usually they are at pains to promote ifollow as pretty much their in house streaming service. Today it was all ‘we’ve been informed that the service providers have a problem’ ’Our suppliers are working on the issue’. ’We’ve been informed that it is now resolved’
  14. Quiet on here today? This thread was adding a new page about every 10 minutes!
  15. As expected, it’s fallen over...
  16. A fair few folk are struggling to even log in, ‘technical problem, please try again later’ At 5pm perhaps when the server can cope?
  17. Of course we can, their fan base isn’t Chelsea’s, or even Fulham’s socioeconomically, it comes largely from the Hounslow/Heathrow/Hillingdon areas, not leafy west London. With all due respect Morten how on earth would you know that significantly more Rovers fans would ask for refunds? The remaining 8/9000 ST holders have been enormously loyal this past decade of shite. We aren’t all yokels with outdoor loos up here. Most ST holders I know wouldn’t have requested one, so anecdotally a third seems a fair enough figure to me.
  18. Also in today’s Times - QPR gave ST holders a choice - ifollow, refund or discount for next season. A third have asked for a ‘refund’, now I don’t know if that means a straight refund or a deferred one. We get similar gates here, so if that was replicated here that would be less than 3,000 refunds at around £40 a pop, it’s very worrying if the club thinks that is threatening the very existence of Blackburn Rovers...
  19. It’s from Henry Winter’s piece in The Times this morning. Almost a throwaway comment that of course fans should be expecting either refunds, discounts on next season or formally be able to donate it - so a choice. Shows just how different this club’s stance is...
  20. As long as we went up, we could do it on Pleasy for me. At least we then wouldn’t see the spectacle of Waggott and the other hangers-on having a corporate jolly in an empty ground whilst fans with decades of support have their collective noses pressed against the window...
  21. Well obviously! But considering there will be no gate or hospitality receipts, but still a hefty staging cost it makes zero sense to still play them there... but then they would have to come to an agreement with another ridiculous organisation in the FA.
  22. The mega club Real Madrid as they flight for a league title are currently playing their games at their training ground’s mini stadium (6,000 capacity). But of course the ridiculous EFL decides it has to play 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier matches in a 90,000 capacity empty ground ?‍♂️
  23. He’s not even been on the bench all season, whilst new signings and young lads have all pushed past him, and there’s been a load of injuries in midfield positions and still no sniff. Surely by Christmas he should’ve seen the writing on the wall and been angling for at least a loan move? Maybe he was and it just didn’t happen, but ‘it’s a short career‘ doesn’t just mean money’
