  1. Proved me wrong how? I don’t flip flop and judge players on one performance be it good or bad. You obviously do as you wanted Samuel gone before lockdown as he was ‘nowhere near good enough’, and now he MUST be signed up for a new contract after a 25 minute cameo. He resembled a footballer on Saturday, so a marked improvement. He’s a long way to go to be the real deal. Perfectly fair comments.
  2. He resembled an actual footballer, which was a marked improvement. The real deal? Long way to go...
  3. As if you would! Say Angus Gunn, who you seem to like, signs tomorrow, you’ll criticise TM and the club for getting good business done too early?
  4. That Sam Hart’s a lucky lad... As Rovers push for a place in the play-offs, Danny Graham, Stewart Downing, Dominic Samuel, Jayson Leutwiler, Richie Smallwood and Sam Hart have all signed contract extensions until the day after our final fixture of the current campaign. Discussions will be held with the above named players regarding their futures at the club upon the 2019-20 season being completed. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/june/rovers-confirm-retain-list/
  5. ‘Great signing. Excellent work by the club going about their business early and quietly’
  6. As I follow nicko, it isn’t hard to spot chadster! Touched a nerve obviously as your whole Twitter feed is literally one question after the other, but ?
  7. Why you still bombarding Nicko on Twitter and posting about 5 times a page on the transfer thread then if you currently aren’t interested in transfers?
  8. A manager makes all the difference in the Championship, as there’s usually very little between teams. He knows the job and it is fairly obvious he has excellent relationships with the players, which is probably more important than ever in the modern game.
  9. Amazing how quickly the game changed from the late 80s to around the millennium. Money, TV coverage, infrastructure, stadiums, corporate offerings, fan culture, foreign players. Only 10 years, but it might as well have been 50.
  10. Both Bowyer in his final windows and Coyle did have a vastly reduced budget in comparison to 2012/14. That’s just a fact illustrated by the sheer amount of quality players that departed and the largely cheap crap that replaced them.
  11. We will be in more trouble as a club than just defensive issues if Leutwiler is first choice next season. It’s fairly obvious that TM doesn’t rate him, so it would only be severe financial restraints that would see him between the sticks.
  12. I had the Golden Goals VHS, we used to churn out a load of quality merchandise in the 90s
  13. Might as well lock the thread then?
  14. I was thinking more at the business end of the season it was the fatal flaw of the Bowyer era...
  15. We manoeuvred ourselves into this position many times under Bowyer and bottled it every single time... let’s hope this team is different.
  16. May as well get shut then, same with some of the others getting well into their 20s without a sniff of the first team.
  17. We currently have one of the worst number 2s we’ve had, if Fisher isn’t up to taking Leutwiler’s role on the bench now, when will he? He’s 22 not 18.
  18. Now come on, they were badly advised and naive back then, cut them some slac... oh wait that was 2016, not 2010.
  19. And that’s all well and good, but you still need to appoint the right manager, as staying out of the third division is far more important for a club the size of Middlesbrough than this subjective ‘attractive football’. Woodgate never came across as having what it took.
  20. Yes bazza, I hope my beloved club that is an essential part of my life, of which I’m a 5th generation supporter goes bust so I could say just that on an anonymous internet message board.
  21. If you can simply move on then good luck to you, but how can it be forgotten when we still see the consequences of their disastrous reign and decision making even now?
  22. There is no option, we are stuck in this suspended animation, doesn’t mean I should be pleased and should blow smoke up their arse. I’ll never forgive or forget the Walker family either, don’t you worry, but that doesn’t excuse the behaviour of these owners, the buck stops with them.
  23. Bloody hell Chaddy! Of course they would! PL football is what drives their entire business model.
