  1. They already have in Blues Bar… when’s the next LFC night in there, by the way?
  2. January sounding like the standard car crash then…
  3. You downvoted my post, Paul which is odd, so what part of it was untrue? ’terrible for the staff involved… but as they won’t improve the club, won’t willingly sell, admin seems the only eventually’.
  4. I would say there is in the Championship, one good season away from the promised land will always attract interest. (Doesn’t mean some other nefarious set of chancers wouldn’t come along, but there would undoubtedly be interest and we could get lucky).
  5. Scunthorpe in tier 6 for example charge £20. Think fans would be in for a bit of a surprise if we ended up like a Notts County with a big stadium and big costs in non league that it would be a tenner a ticket every week.
  6. Plenty of clubs in non league charge £20+ a ticket.
  7. They don’t in development teams, what matters is finding players for the first team… where it is all about results.
  8. Results don’t particularly matter. All about the odd player that will make it to the first team. If there’s a diamond in the group the rest are there to make up the numbers… and will end up on loan at the likes of Marine and eventually released.
  9. Bit like Tranmere trying to attract a few LFC/Everton fans, pretty sure Stockport used to play a fair bit on a Friday too to try and attract the locals that were City ‘fans’.
  10. Early 90s definitely. Stockport and Tranmere are two clubs and away days I always mix up.
  11. That was the Souness era (think they were in the third division in the Kenny era). Had a good couple of dos in their old away terrace with no roof.
  12. It’s terrible for the staff involved, but that’s business, badly run ones go in to administration… however many, many football clubs come out the other side stronger long term. As these owners won’t ever improve the club and seemingly won’t ever willingly sell, admin seems the only eventuality.
  13. Our Chadster with the flag hanging from his porch. 😅
  14. Average attendances are pretty much were they’re been the last three years - c15k.
  15. Always good to read from the moral conscience of brfcs.
  16. If they hadn’t have replaced the friendlies in the first place, so just two international windows instead of four and just have qualifiers and tournaments - I doubt a single football fan would have complained.
  17. This again. If you are from east Lancs it’s a tea cake. Other parts of Lancs a barm. In the midlands a cob, down south a roll. Just like accents it’s a great example of regional diversity in this little island of ours.
  18. This site is visceral in its views on Venky’s in comparison to Ewood, to the LT comments section, you name it. Suppose the way it is with such a parochial fanbase.
  19. We need to face facts, the majority of the fanbase don’t particularly care about the owners, brfcs and our visceral views are very much the outlier.
  20. I’m not saying international football as a whole doesn’t matter, the summer tournaments are probably the biggest events in world sport… the Nations League, however, does not matter and that’s pretty obvious with the shoulder shrugging of most fans and by taking one look at England’s squad.
  21. Young lads miles away from the team now getting a game because half of the squad has sacked it off proves my point, not yours.
  22. Down vote from roverandout 😭 But I’d watch the captain’s interview from today, he’s obviously riled that half the squad have sacked it off and don’t see it in anyway as a priority. So as I said ’fans don’t care, coaches don’t care, players don’t care’.
  23. Sorry ‘they’, Blackburn Rovers, presumably, are such a disappointment to you. I best use a🚨SARCASM🚨 disclaimer next time.
  24. Ever the optimists on brfcs with the thread being pinned... no doubt unpinned by the time the judge only gets to case 23 of 233.
