  1. We’ve started seasons well for a while now, indeed last season’s early points on the board came in very handy by the end… if we don’t, then it could be a very long campaign, especially as I imagine there will be a farce of some description in January.
  2. Now now JH, it ‘prevents ticket touting’, you know how it is, tickets for the likes of Norwich away are like gold dust.
  3. So you do understand it’s inconvenient for a lot of fans because of greedy clubs, which is the point everybody is making - glad we are all on the same page!
  4. Yes we all know it’s the fault of the clubs, nobody feels sorry for the clubs, especially as the extra cash will go straight out their accounts again into higher wages for players and agent fees. We feel sorry for the fans, we know you struggle to empathise with that as you’d be there at 4am etc etc.
  5. 90/91 possibly? Jack who?
  6. The Phase 2 hike was bad enough, but Phase 3 kicking in just as players actually start arriving (whatever you think of them, supporters love a signing) and fans start getting the bug again just sums up the fools.
  7. Why will someone that left France 13 years ago and has never been a scout or a coach or has never lived or played or been a scout or coached in Belgium have ‘an extensive network of contacts across Belgium and France?’ Because he’s French and because err France is near Belgium?
  8. The hounding of K-Hod has been just a tad OTT and its a shame that it would lead to him questioning his role. But generally if you are on there to ‘help the situation’, don’t bother as it truly is a ‘waste of everybody’s time’ as it makes no tangible difference when you are sat across the table from slippery chancers like Swag.
  9. ‘Best sales ever’ wasn’t it a month or so ago? 4,000 adult tickets 🤷‍♂️
  10. Rudy Gestede was brought in as Head of Football Operations and it is hoped the club will benefit from his extensive network of footballing contacts across France and Belgium Sure he has.
  11. Night games in term time are going to be even more like the Mary Celeste
  12. 'MG asked if the club could do more to encourage new fans rather than concentrating on renewals and lapsed fans. FR responded that staffing numbers meant that they had to concentrate on renewals.' What a ridiculous set-up.
  13. Every Bank Holiday game is being shown, so Leeds NYD and Sunderland Boxing Day will be on - though possibly at 3pm. Something ‘kill’, something ‘golden goose’.
  14. No chance even if he was available most weeks as he just doesn’t have Sammie’s drive and attitude.
  15. ‘The most important thing was that we came through the two games without any injuries. You can see the squad’s quite thin, so if any of our senior players do come off the pitch it is a worry.’ What a place to be in when the season kicks off a week on Friday
  16. I’ll let roverandout off partly as he loves his Eng-er-land, but not for spamming us with Newcastle goals.
  17. Newcastle and England goals??
  18. Near me in the Blackburn End for a start, obviously I can’t speak for everywhere, but I don’t see why that wouldn’t extrapolate.
  19. Would you not think it is prudent to? Things can go south very quickly in football.
  20. Not sure what the point of that screen grab is in relation to this thread. Social media is more ‘positive’ than here, so? Fanbases everywhere are made up of all sorts. Ignore the noise and focus on the state of the club. We are at a hinge point in our history and to hear that the WATR board as of today still doesn’t want a change of ownership was striking. I had a very simple question that miller dodged, maybe the Chairman will answer it - do you have a Save our Club campaign ready to mobilise quickly post August 20th?
  21. We should realise now that Ewood will only KO organically, spontaneously however you want to describe it - largely on the back of a run of poor results. Last season was a prime example when out of nowhere dissent came out to Swag et al. We then got a new manager and it was all ‘let’s all pull together and stay up’. But that showed the ground will turn. This season will see poor results, and a lot of them. So we will see it again. Organised protests, walk outs, sit ins, don’t go ins etc etc are a waste of time and effort - poor results will do the work for you.
  22. Crawley is a lucky lad to be playing in the era he does. Forty six Tests with an average of just 32. Was the revolving door approach to the batting line up in the 90s the correct one? No, batsmen deserve a chance but surely 46 Tests is long enough to realise this fella will never be consistent and should have to fight for his place.
