The England Team - all the news, views…

Add the mess of international tournaments to the ‘Swiss Model’ Champions League and that ridiculous World Club Cup and the schedule of the sport looks a complete dogs dinner… and we know why 💰(not quite a brown envelope emoji, but close enough) -
Me too, not good enough for a team sitting in a play off spot for the Premier League (and not close to FFP limits), is it?

League crowds are higher now across football than they were in the 60s… however the FA Cup was something else entrirely, a phenomenon that younger folk just wouldn’t believe. -

And because there are so many European nations now. It used to be hard to avoid big nations when there weren’t 12 ex-Soviet teams (largely crap), or 7 ex-Yugoslavia teams (largely crap) or all the minnows that should really be playing some kind of pre qualifying tournament. -

Remember when there was a bit of jeopardy with qualification. -
Of course, just being facetious (though it would save on giving the upper tier a clean).
-
And this is where we usually fall away, as the players don’t get the rest and help they need due to the powers that be having no interest in achieving something Though with it being on the record that there is no impediment to the owners spending money and as we are a mile away from FFP concerns, this January will be different, won’t it…
-
Or leave if closed and put Rovers fans in the Darwen End like in 2008/9… can you imagine the faces for the simple life crew down there if that was offered as a solution 😱
-
We have 9,000 ST holders, if we did end up with 17/18k home fans in total on the day that’s a good crowd when you consider the low base we are starting from. We want higher than that? The answer to that, as always, is ‘sell more season tickets’.
-
What always amuses me about 90s clips is that away fans always obediently sat down in these new fangled seated away ends… not quite the case now 😅
-
I’d say 15/16k or so home tickets, but presumably with a full Darwen End so a decent looking Ewood.
-
Unfortunately we just won’t get close due to having so few ST holders. We’d need to sell 14,000 walk ons at £25-£35 when on Sky to boot, Boxing Day or not it ain’t happening. But as you say price it at £15-£20 and market the hell out of it and you could see it as whole families, kids bringing their mates etc etc, alas this set up can’t be arsed with all that.

Of course Southgate would’ve turned down Man Utd to do some TED Talks.

He obviously watches Tronstadt like a hawk so every mistake he does make (which of course he will over 95 minutes, a misplaced pass here, a tackle that doesn’t quite do the job there) he’s going ‘shit him’. Contrarian Rev being Contrarian Rev -
All the players in 2011 and 2012 said a certain S K*an was marvellous too, player comments to the media mean feck all.

There will be c4,000 empty seats in the away end yet you can’t make a last minute to attend… nudge nudge. -

The players weren’t very good at it last season. It’s all on Eustsce as players need drilling, drilling, drilling. -
Sure they can get together on LinkedIn and write a leadership book for CEOs or whatever.
