  1. Stoke have been a complete disaster since leaving the PL, spent a fortune on wages and fees too.
  2. Yep read a piece the other week where it was outlined that Pep flatly does not want his wide men dribbling and taking players on.
  3. Picked up a few draws but wouldn’t have been close to being enough without two totally unexpected wins. But we got them, the end. Don’t get the issue, he got stick when we couldn’t win a game, he gets unadulterated praise when we win every week - that’s football forums.
  4. Sure I remember reading you can sell 90% of an unreserved seating stand.
  5. Didn’t win his first 9 games, didn’t win a home game until this season. I don’t see the issue in folk commenting on those results.
  6. I’d say c23k sold when you discount the closed blocks and in reality the actual ‘working’ capacity of the ground isn’t ‘31,367’ as even if a total sellout they’d announce ‘30,500’.
  7. I imagine we won’t need them but another 500 or so in the netted off areas of the JWL and Riverside too theoretically… of course could we dare only have a thousand seats of segregation in the Darwen end 😱
  8. Swings and roundabouts, JDT was very popular on here, but not particularly at Ewood. Whereas Eustace has always had the fans right behind him since day dot at the ground.
  9. I agree going on about work rate and keeping the shape isn’t exactly what you’d want primarily from a ‘winger’, we’d all love a Ripley or a Gillespie but that kind of player’s been largely coached out of the game. I mean, not an exact like for like but look at what’s happened to Grealish. Beige-isation of football.
  10. Folk still want to buy tickets in person? Surely not.
  11. He’s a modern day wide man. Disciplined, works hard, helps the team keep its shape. It’s what today’s managers want so he’ll get signed up if he wants to stay, as boring as that feels to us fans who are used to/want to see proper wingers beating a man and whipping crosses in. Maybe one day they’ll return like so much else that’s been lost to the game.
  12. He didn’t win a home game last season so that was worth discussing. If he hadn’t won, say, his first four home games this season either it would definitely have been worth discussing, as it would’ve raised questions as to how he sets his side up at home, when you need to be more on the front foot etc etc… however he won them instead, so end of discussion. Don’t know why standard results based message board chat is so controversial with some.
  13. Enjoying the variety of angles you are utilising 👌
  14. So what happens when BwD, Hyndburn etc are abolished? Do we still keep out of BB1 Rishton just because once of a day it used to share a council with Accy?
  15. He still does, look at the community work he is still doing for Rovers.
  16. That would mean selling 20,000+ STs. Only possible if they were at a ‘Taking Back Ewood’ (2008-2010) kind of price… no chance of that if the likes of Swag are still around.
  17. Ended up full of holes and generally tatty, I believe… there’s an Ewood metaphor there somewhere
  18. Fun watching green dots go grey, ain’t it.
  19. Of course the arbitrary local government borders from the 1970s will soon be replaced anyway by merged councils - so will we be ‘allowed’ to encroach on Accy Stanley’s turf then?
  20. They have to do more as the percentage of the fanbase that resides in the town of Blackburn is ever declining.
  21. Give them the rest of the Darwen End and let’s fill the place like the MGP cup tie.
  22. I know folk that will watch Stanley when Rovers aren’t playing, fair enough, but folk that went to Ewood for years and now pretend they weren’t ever a Rovers fan and are at Accy every week. Weird.
  23. Yep know a fair few myself. Doesn’t help that the club has now decided that Hyndburn is nowt to do with Rovers.
  24. Real Lancashire reference there, good lad BlueNWhiteArmy.
  25. National League Cup, that’s the poor man’s EFL Trophy, I believe. I imagine a few NL club fans aren’t too enamoured about it.
