I wouldn’t sack him either, give him a new deal.

The culture of the club just seems rotten, you can spot it a mile off with the attitudes of the players. Compare and contrast to an Arsenal or a Liverpool. Long may it continue 😀

Disastrous season for Lancs… but still, think of The Point and the concerts! A successful year for the accounts, no doubt.

‘Owen Coyle’, very formal, you fallen out?

End of the day if you want to improve and actually achieve something in this game then you have to be constantly looking to upgrade your first XI - something BRFC hasn’t looked particularly arsed about doing for about 14 years now. Hedges has done a decent job, but if he is to be replaced in the side by Cantwell then that’s just football’s natural selection. Doesn’t mean RH won’t still have a part to play over the season. -
Love how the Chadster is demanding that ‘99-er answers his questions on every post 😅

Obviously Ewood is full of people that do a half arsed job, that have little passion for BRFC, but, you know, 10 minutes on Wiki would have sufficed. More errors than he’s even noticed, I.e. we won at Chelsea away, Palace win absolutely pivotal too in the run in, winner scored by that fella that’s in the stands most weeks too! Such a pathetic commercial operation.

4,000 walk ons is plenty. But say we had 12k ST holders instead with 4k walk ons, all of a sudden Ewood is pretty busy, especially if a decent away following rocks up. Until we substantially grow our ST base Ewood will never feel particularly full. The dreadful ST pricing/campaigns are completely the issue. Sort those out and crowds increase. Simple as that, as Bolton are showing.

Barnsley V Stockport at 7.45 on a Saturday night… suck it up fans, think of the exposure! -
4,000 folk buying a ticket at £25-£30 for a half 12 Sky game? Sounds pretty good to me, but generally, as always … ‘want more crowds, sell more season…’

How is not letting you buy an already printed out and on the shop counter away ticket in person helping the environment? -
Is brfcs not a stakeholder? Surely a Comms lead for WATR would very much want to interact with a forum like this that is highly engaged.

I haven’t forgotten a single player from the 90s… since 2012? Most of them.

For now, presumably by next season it will all be online - ‘Digital Strategy’ and all that. -

Not sure anyone’s missing the point. We all agree it’s a ridiculous set of affairs for both home games when we have a half empty ground every week, plus refusing to sell an away ticket to someone in the shop or on the phone when the pile of tickets is sitting on the counter. -

It is a football cliche, but there is a kernel of truth in it. If a side goes to 10 men and then parks the bus for half an hour when before they were attempting to win the game, it can be difficult to break them down as their whole mentality has changed. -
Love your predictions, Mark. The yin to the Chadster’s yang. 😅

You can just about understand the rationale for home tickets as they are in the club’s gift, I.e to print out etc (though obviously they still should). But being barred from walking into the shop to buy an away ticket that is literally sitting there printed on the counter, but now you have to wait a week for the staff to put in envelopes and post it to you sums up the nonsense down there. -
You substantially reduce adult prices or you get promoted. That is the *only* way to see a significant increase in gates here. Simple as that. But as neither of those will happen, we won’t see a significant increase. Twenty quid off a ticket was never going to lead to said significant rise, why on earth would it, especially after a season as bad as that? But it did prevent the big drop off that was surely coming if they’d have actually increased them, so a success of sorts. The worrying thing is Swag et al seemingly did expect a surge on the back of a twenty quid cut, after a season of farce. They just don’t understand their own fanbase, which is just a tad worrying.

The tone in those minutes is far stronger than I ever remember. ‘hugely disappointing’ etc. I don’t recall that when they sold a hugely disappointing 6,995 STs in 2021/22. Along with sob stories about the leccy bill and player wages, *shock horror*, rising with inflation, they are obviously rolling the pitch for a substantial rise next season - and the lemmings will lap it up, ‘well nobody bought one when we had that enormous price cut last summer, so fair play to the club, I reckon’.
-
Yep, not a chance we’ll ever see a proper reduction on adult tickets now, in fact, expect a hike. We called it on here as soon as they went on sale ‘at least the kids price reduction has stopped a big fall in numbers’. It was obvious after that shambles of a season on and off the pitch (1 home win in months to boot) what would happen to adult sales with just 20 quid knocked off… well it was seemingly not obvious to the supposed commercial and marketing professionals down there.
