  1. It’s terrible for the staff involved, but that’s business, badly run ones go in to administration… however many, many football clubs come out the other side stronger long term. As these owners won’t ever improve the club and seemingly won’t ever willingly sell, admin seems the only eventuality.
  2. Our Chadster with the flag hanging from his porch. 😅
  3. Average attendances are pretty much were they’re been the last three years - c15k.
  4. If they hadn’t have replaced the friendlies in the first place, so just two international windows instead of four and just have qualifiers and tournaments - I doubt a single football fan would have complained.
  5. This again. If you are from east Lancs it’s a tea cake. Other parts of Lancs a barm. In the midlands a cob, down south a roll. Just like accents it’s a great example of regional diversity in this little island of ours.
  6. This site is visceral in its views on Venky’s in comparison to Ewood, to the LT comments section, you name it. Suppose the way it is with such a parochial fanbase.
  7. We need to face facts, the majority of the fanbase don’t particularly care about the owners, brfcs and our visceral views are very much the outlier.
  8. I’m not saying international football as a whole doesn’t matter, the summer tournaments are probably the biggest events in world sport… the Nations League, however, does not matter and that’s pretty obvious with the shoulder shrugging of most fans and by taking one look at England’s squad.
  9. Young lads miles away from the team now getting a game because half of the squad has sacked it off proves my point, not yours.
  10. Down vote from roverandout 😭 But I’d watch the captain’s interview from today, he’s obviously riled that half the squad have sacked it off and don’t see it in anyway as a priority. So as I said ’fans don’t care, coaches don’t care, players don’t care’.
  11. Sorry ‘they’, Blackburn Rovers, presumably, are such a disappointment to you. I best use a🚨SARCASM🚨 disclaimer next time.
  12. Ever the optimists on brfcs with the thread being pinned... no doubt unpinned by the time the judge only gets to case 23 of 233.
  13. Wingers? Don’t be a dinosaur! You’ll be asking for front twos next.
  14. Still up on the Nations League hill, ready to meet your maker. It's crap I'm afraid. Fans know it, coaches know it, players know it.
  15. Obviously the players take these ‘competitive’ games as seriously as the rest of us (roverandout aside, of course).
  16. Sherwood’s ‘equaliser’ at Old Trafford in the return fixture being disallowed due a supposed foul by Shearer as he nodded it across. Never forget my dad turning to me and saying ‘they will never let us win this title’… well we showed them!
  17. I’ve no idea because I haven’t watched any CL outside a free to air final on YouTube for years, but are fans taking to this convoluted Super League through the back door ‘Swiss model’? Now seems even more pointless to pay any attention until the KOs… but still, think of the 💰 💰 💰
  18. For the PL there’s a correlation as it’s elite level football with elite level profile. It can withstand fans being messed about, comes with the territory. People want to be part of it, to be associated with it. It’s showbiz. However, at this level, we haven’t before seen anything like the number of live matches, now, what, 14/15 games out of 23 will be live on TV? At all manner of inconvenient times. In this anything but elite division it will give a lot of ST holders across the Championship (especially at middling clubs) something to think about in future summers.
  19. I know, as obviously ST sales were pretty much concluded across the EFL before games were getting underway under this new deal, which is why I said.. ‘EFL crowds are at record levels not seen since the 1950s’ … and ‘The proof will be in the pudding in two/three years time when and if ST numbers and ergo gates generally have declined across the patch.
  20. I’m talking about the game in general where crowds are at highs not seen at this level since the 1950s, this club on the other hand has missed out on the boom (and we all know why) so there’s nothing to crow about with a few hundred extra turning up over a couple of years ago. So it will be interesting to what happens across the EFL with this saturated level of TV (including here as we sit on our mighty 4,000 adult ST holders, I’d say we can’t fall much further but we always can under these owners and the clowns they employ).
  21. I’m not a hypocrite I enjoy watching these extra away games hours away, but I think of more than just me, will this be a good thing for match going fans and attendances long term? The proof will be in the pudding in two/three years time when and if ST numbers and ergo gates generally have declined across the patch.
  22. I’m talking generally, you obviously think this new deal is great (and I mean, you personally, not the EFL or the clubs)
