  1. So fine to have an opinion on brfcs still? Good to know.
  2. Not this ‘negativity’ stuff again. If ‘99’s view was Gueye wasn’t good when he came on, fair enough his opinion, but also fair enough if you totally disagree and tell him so. It’s a message board for opinions as you see them. The fans get behind the players home and away and that’s what matters.
  3. 22 matches out of 32 kicking off at all manners of days and times that isn’t Saturday 3pm. ‘The magic of third round day’ indeed.
  4. No chance. There’s 20,000 seats in the rest of the home areas.
  5. Banter with plastic Man Utd fans? I wouldn’t engage them in conversation about football.
  6. Lucky lad Crawley (50 Tests!) to be playing in the era he’s in. Just think of all the talented cricketers in the 80s and 90s that were jettisoned after a couple of Tests if they happened to get a duck after receiving a jaffer from a McGrath or Ambrose.
  7. If Rishton, BB1 postcode and a Rovers hotbed for 150 years is now a former non league club’s ‘territory’ instead, we may as well give up now.
  8. I don’t disagree it is what it is when you are in the Championship. A normal club, however, doesn’t sell the player if he’s not demanding a move and will let him learn his trade and incrementally increase his value. £18million wasn’t enough but in reality it could’ve been £80 million and we still wouldn’t have seen any (but it would mean an even longer period the owners would not have to pay their bills for).
  9. He’s a middling Championship player and he’ll be at a middling Championship club next season.
  10. Remembering that the majority of our fanbase now resides out of BwD, arbitrarily drawn council borders in 1974 should not define how you promote the club.
  11. Never received any abuse, fans have been great with him, just like they were when BB was terrible for years, just like they are being with Gueye who is without doubt one of the worst strikers I’ve seen in a blue and white shirt on current form. TD has put a shift in and some good performances throughout, so why would he be ‘abused’? Supportive, patient fans here.
  12. So like I said it goes round in circles. We sold at the worst possible time, I.e he’d only played 50 or so Championship games and we were a distressed seller, so Palace stumbled on a highly opportune moment as we had stamped ‘buy him, we’re skint’ on his forehead, £18 million was all it would ever be as we approached February 2024 with the state the club was in. And of course any funds we did get would go to pay the tax bill and the leccy on behalf of the owners, not to rebuild the side, ergo a great deal for Palace and Venky’s, a terrible one for Blackburn Rovers.
  13. Buckley doesn’t want it enough, he’ll blink and he’ll be in the lower leagues thinking ‘how did that happen’.
  14. To be entering 2025 and to still have no bespoke disabled facilities is a disgrace, no other way to dress it up.
  15. Or a viewing platform further up the stand, be that the Riverside or the Jack Walker. ’Never refuse a…’
  16. ‘Can’t, can’t, can’t’ is all you ever read.
  17. Was that ridiculous statement challenged? There’s lots of evidence, have a look at a club a few miles to the south of Ewood for a start.
  18. Goes round in circles this. The fact less than 12 months later he’s been touted for £40 odd million shows Palace got him for a steal… but in reality a distressed seller wasn’t going to get any more for a player in the Championship.
  19. Hope you do hold me to it, as Ewood would then be full in home areas (outside the Blackburn End Upper), so a full Riverside too, we’ve not seen that since Oxford, so for me it won’t happen at £35, but if that’s the case nobody would be more delighted than me.
  20. At least 18,000 home fans? So 9,000 walk ons at least? So potentially what 10,11k home walk ons? No chance for a Sky game at £35-£40 just after Christmas and new year. There will be a 16kish home fans there no chance for 18, 19, 20k.
  21. Play offs being the difference. Still doable as the likes of Luton have proved… and Ipswich.
  22. My Facebook alone has at least four Stanley 'fans' on it that I know used to be rovers regulars. The Anfield Road End will be full of such folk in January,
  23. First Boxing Day in front of fans at Ewood for years, big away following, exactly the kind of game that you can try and target a big crowd for, yet usually the club prices it in a way to purely milk the away support so putting a ceiling on home turnout (i.e. Cat A, A+) Category B is exactly what it should be and I can foresee a very healthy gate for this now.
