Ferguson spotted when it was a one new team to build too many and jumped ship… maybe Pep should’ve done the same in the summer and rode off into the sunset.
-
It’ll be £35 to £45 just after Christmas and new year, on Sky. Yeah getting a ticket won’t be too much of an issue…
-
No, definitely 93/94.
-
‘93

So nothing at all to do drainage, glad that’s cleared up. Ah well, act of god, so there will be another postponement coming along soon enough then.
-
So the game was called off for a flood risk in the surrounding area? Or a waterlogged pitch? I imagine it was because it was waterlogged at 11am. Is the drainage worse than it was a decade ago at Ewood Park? Simple question, as to me we seem to be getting a lot more postponements. Remember post ‘95 the pitch and its facilities were totally revamped (the pitch was a bog at times in 94/95) - we then didn’t have a single postponement for pretty much 20 years for rain. I don’t know the answer, and neither do those trying to paint this purely as a River Darwen issue.
-
To question why we are the only game in the top three divisions postponed is ‘ridiculous’? I’d say it’s a fair question that shouldn’t be just batted away with ‘the river’. What state is the Ewood drainage system in etc seems a reasonable question to ask…
-
How many games were waterlogged post Wimbledon in 1993 and this lot getting hold of the club… and how many since?
-
Only game in the top three divisions to be called off. Yep, wholly about the River Darwen.
-
Of course. If this club ever got its act together crowds would rocket… alas we limp on for ever more.
-
Crossed wires then. Yep, some on here need to wake up to the fact the vast majority of the thousands that disappeared between 2010 and 2012 have gone, for good.

You should be thinking about England selections now, tut tut. -

So you don’t think about Rovers in the summer? -

Nobody will give England a second thought now for months. -
Odd downvote from Joey there, not sure thumbs down emojis help the debate on here, if even who I thought were sensible posters resort to it.

I don’t care Chaddy and neither does anybody else outside the summer tournaments… and neither will you if he wins the World Cup! But at the end of the day the FA obviously think no English managers up to it. Shows their ‘pathways’, St George ‘s Park and all the rest of it haven’t been much cop, doesn’t it! -
I don’t think it ever was going to impact it this season as season ticket holders would be buying in the summer without quite releasing just how much they were going to be messed about… next season will be interesting (across the Championship). As an example if it is off today we’ll have had just *four* Saturday 3pms by late January.

So by your metric Mowbray should’ve got the England job over Tuchel too… so not an endorsement of Lamps actually being any good, fair enough! -
Two different things. Fans who haven’t been to Ewood for twelve plus years won’t automatically return because this lot have fucked off. Now if we are lucky enough to attract owners that care, that take the club back to what it was - be that engagement, be that pricing, be that success then of course crowds will rise, but the majority won’t be fellas that knocked it on the head in 2012. On the flip side Venky’s are replaced with more nefarious characters the dial won’t move at all
-
Not this again, there aren’t thousands of fans across the water waiting for ‘the Venky’s to leave’ Most of the 2010/2012 departees have long gone and won’t be back whoever has the deeds. The general floating fan will however, come more regularly if there’s a good well priced product to watch… we ain’t got one of those and never will under these owners (so yes all roads do go back to Venky’s in the end).

Come on we must all know how to translate Chaddy-speak by now? ’we’ll see’ is ‘yep, hands up that was a daft opinion, but I can’t row back now’. -
No he isn’t (Burnley aside), Leeds have already been given 7k+
-
Home area crowds haven’t dropped this season. Once Leeds, Sunderland, Dingles, PNE visit I’d imagine we’ll finish the season with the highest average attendance since 2012, a low bar, obviously but current crowds are just back to where they were c2014 time - I.e we are stagnant as the rest of the league has seen gates rise exponentially this past decade.
-
£250 minimum, £309 in the JWU. If they honestly think rolling out the likes of half arsed Buckley is going to get folk charging towards the ticket office (oh wait, they can’t, it’s never open) website at that insane pricing, then they are even more puddled down there than I thought.
