I wasnt there when she appeared. The Superheroes of Sale have been doing a great job. They're a group of runners who do daily runs dressed as superheroes. You can ask them to come and say Happy Birthday to your child and they publish their routes, call at peoples houses, knock and stand at a distance for photos. Theyve raised over £5K for Ronald McDonald House so far and brought a lot of fun to a lot of kids who cant celebrate their birthday as they normally would.

Celebrated my grandsons 4th birthday with him yesterday, all suitably distanced. Superheroes of Sale sent Captain America, the Incredible Hulk and Batwoman to visit him. Fantastic!

Weve finished series 3 and are now onto series 4 . We watched the first 2 episodes last night so have 4 left. Probably 2 tonight and 2 tomorrow.

Weve got those 4 to go yet. Were thoroughly enjoying it and if we hadn't been exhausted yesterday, wed have watched more.

I'd watched the first 2 series. Someone I know mentioned it to us in passing and I was intrigued enough to look it up. Fortunately I dont read the Guardian except the odd online item so i wont get the spoiler. Wont take us long to catch up. 2 episodes an evening if we dont start too late

I looked it up and spotted series 3 which I hadn't seen. I thought I was up to date but had somehow not spotted s3 when it came out. You're right it's not for the squeamish but its gripping. So we started s3 last night and then have s4 to look forward to too

Congratulations! I havent tried running but we find 3 mile walks straightforward now. No gasping for breath uphill and getting faster all the time.

On cruise ships people are always washing and sanitizing hands. You learn very early on not to touch handrails or lift buttons with your hands if you can possibly avoid it. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance to every restaurant and once, when I went into a restaurant having sanitised my hands , the girl behind the plates(it was a buffet) wouldn't let me take a plate until I did it again. They are so worried about norovirus outbreaks that it wouldn't take much adaptation to be ready

Think of it as a taster. If you like places, you can go back. We got 2 days in St Petersburg but only one in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki and Tallinn. We plan at some point to return to Stockholm as we didnt see enough of it.

We went for Norway first time, then the Baltic including St Petersburg last year.

Were not regular cruisers either. Done 2 in the last 4 years. Would like to do one more but who knows now.

No. I could train to improve my stamina and ability to cycle up hills but I still get panicky when cars approach from behind. The route from Fleetwood to blackpool wasnt busy. Just had to use the road a bit at one point but that wide sea defence prom is lovely and it was nice to get a bit of different air

We did it the other way, from Fleetwood to blackpool and back. I'll remember your advice when we do it again

We walk a lot but I find cycling hard. I do it but prefer flattish cycleways not roads.

Too hilly round here and I'm not happy cycling on roads.

We've been to the coast, cycled 19.5 miles, eaten fish and chips and are just about to enjoy an ice cream before heading home. Life feels almost normal.

I've said this for a while. It's certainly easier to keep your distance in cricket than in other sports like rugby. However, they do handle the cricket ball and pass it around between overs and in fact more often than that. Needing to wipe it between each ball bowled would cause real problems
