  1. Saw a bit of it I think while husband was channel hopping. We're old fashioned in our house. He owns the remote
  2. I remember it quite clearly. My younger sister was at Uni in Hull at the time and they set up a system of volunteers to walk girls home from events so they weren't out alone after dark. One of the victims was local to us. My friend had taught her in Sunday School.
  3. I know this is probably covered elsewhere but I didn't find it trawling through. Why was there so much time added on?
  4. I think all managers have a shelf life. Eventually it must get almost impossible to get the same group of players to perform to the max. Rich clubs get round this by changing players. Poor clubs settle for where they are and cut their cloth accordingly. Clubs with ambition but not much spare cash change manager. You can do it any time, it costs less than changing 4 or more players, and the potential rewards are high. Mind you, so is the potential risk so you, as a club and as fans, have to be prepared to fail if you want to get 9n.
  5. And almost wish I was still watching the cricket. Never seen Sharks play so badly.
  6. Just finished in time for Falcons v Sharks
  7. Me too. Used to be that it was considered really common to have tatoos. You avoided lads with tatoos as they were likely to be from a bad background. Now its all kinds of people who have them and don't get me started on the way footballers look. Old fashioned? Snobbish? Yes, on this issue I'm both
  8. Oddly enough, I just watched the highlights and said the exact same thing.
  9. Well done. It's always good when there are good news stories in the midst of this mess
  10. Thank you. Just a pity this damned virus means we wont see him for a month or more
  11. Baby was born this morning. A little boy. Looks very cute.
  12. I watched them live at the time. Dont remember Barry John but the others, yes. I've seen videos of John. I've always watched union, just never had a team to support. Middlesbrough isn't known for being a rugby area. Used to watch all the televised stuff though
  13. You only have a slight problem. My son in laws a claret. And the new one could well end up a Toon fan
  14. Rugby union legend JJ Williams has died too
  15. Congrats. we're expecting news of the arrival of our 5th any day now. Baby is breech and has so far refused to be turned so they're going back today to check it hasn't moved of its own accord but if it hasn't then they'll do a c section next week
  16. That's exactly what I came on to check. Thought I saw it on SS news this morning
  17. Always good to be able to do something you enjoy, especially if it makes a difference too.
