  1. You know what? I dont really care who comes in because, if what you're all saying about performance levels is true, (I've only watched us once this season so can't judge for myself) anyone with a bit of organising skill and authority could do a better job than Mowbray is doing at the moment. Look at what Woodgate has managed to do in a few short weeks as caretaker. It used to be a worry of mine that we wouldn't appoint better. Now I feel even the Raos probably couldn't do worse than a manager who has always been somewhat incoherent but now appears to have totally lost it.
  2. At first glance I wondered what you were on about. My sister is called Jack Ryan
  3. Perhaps they need to train on it to work out how to play on it
  4. Haha. I might be one of thd few people who gets that reference
  5. Not Rovers, but my son in law recently turned up to play and found himself facing Stephen Ireland, Joleon Lescotf and Nedum Onuoha.
  6. I was just so glad I woke up at 4.15, turned on my tablet and watched the mornings play live.
  7. Watching Mbappe against Lorient would suggest the lad's not really very good. I know that was a below par performance but he was very poor in that match.
  8. I just made exactly the same comments to my husband. Can't believe he's back this week. Stitches alone normally take that long to heal.
  9. He doesnt have to be a top manager; we just need somebody good enough
  10. I'm not put off by that one incident but hes not going to give you long before he wants to retire. If you want a change of manager I'd want someone younger who can move the team forward into the 21st century concentrating on fitness levels as well as skills. I dont mean a youngster but a guy in his 40s or 50s whose developed a belief in the way he wants to set his team up, builds his team up and makes them better as a team. Does this guy exist? I dont know but we're talking ideas here, not naming names
  11. I went to the winter Olympics in Pyongchang that year. That was when they had to cancel events because it was too cold even for winter sports
  12. That's true. The AJBell watching Sale is freezing at the best of times but you can shift position if you're in the end stands.
  13. You say that till you fall out of love with him. Plenty here who loved Allardyce, and I was even known to defend him myself to outsiders, despite disliking him in the extreme, because we were winning and stable with him. All managers have a shelf life - then disenchantment gradually grows. You may never hate him but you wont hang on his every word always. We didn't get the chance to fall out of love with Allardyce - Kean saw to that
  14. The other one we remember well is a cup match against Sunderland at Ewood. Night match that went to extra time. 119 mins of utter boredom then a goal. Mind numbing as well as body numbing
  15. Surely you've been colder at the Reebok. Even in summer it was freezing
  16. Thank you from a fellow teessider who has come over to the Rovers! My family will have been up in arms about the result today
  17. I said it was our Gus Poyet moment. Always remember him hitting the crossbar in the Worthington Cup final and my daughter saying 'We're going to win this now'
  18. I see your user name is submarine. Is that why you got this wrong?
  19. First time I've seen us play this season. I hoped some of you were exaggerating our awfulness in previous matches but you're clearly not. I've just said,' The Boro are clearly the better side in all respects' and its years since I can remember saying that. Even when they've beaten us they've never looked this superior
