  1. Yes I dont think I'd now give up my Sharks season ticket for a Rovers one, but there are plenty of weekends where I could do both and take in a Clitheroe match too, but not if the surcharge remains, tickets are expensive and especially not if Mowbray remains
  2. My only reall memories of Birmingham are when we played them at St Andrews when the pitch looked like a tractor had been let loose on it. And I think once the floodlights failed.
  3. PSG are inconsistent. They have too many players who sulk when its not going their way instead of trying twice as hard. For all their faults and failings (I can't stand City or their incomprehensible manager, who speaks good English, but somehow manages to annoy me every time he opens his mouth) City have developed the winning mentality and sheer determination that makes the difference between winners and nearly teams. PSG don't have that.
  4. Those are 'quotes' from LET fans. Not Stuart's opinions at all.
  5. I normally try to resist the desire to correct spelling mistakes, although sometimes I can't. However, that one was just too topical.
  6. Critique of the powers that be, fair enough. I know not everything in life gets a happy ending and I get the points that episode made, but this isn't real life, not even close so why couldn't we have something just a bit more explosive and dramatic?
  7. I dont either but it doesn't mean I dont care. Relegation and the shambles of a club still hurts
  8. I would because most of it is ridiculously priced. I'm stingy like that. I only ever bought Rovers shirts as birthday presents. I said no to most things my kids wanted really. They knew we simply couldn't afford to splash the cash if they wanted season tickets. And in those days they did.
  9. Depends where the elsewhere is. I have a season ticket for Clitheroe. Non league, my local team and cheap as chips. If Rovers are playing id go there. If not I'd go to Clitheroe. I wouldn't go and buy a season ticket at another league club.
  10. I was pleased about it but it didn't fill me with the kind of excitement I used to feel when I would go to work on Monday still buoyed up by the result on Saturday.
  11. Im not sure he ever was reliable but he did have contacts and was occasionally right about the broad story outline even if the details were lacking. Very good at phrasing things so that he could wriggle out of things if what he predicted didn't materialise
  12. And how many of the other reasons are to do with Mowbray? I thought about returning and bought a matchday ticket. I was treated to a 1-0 loss to Luton and some of the worst football I'd seen at Ewood. If there's nothing but blind loyalty dragging you to Ewood then it's hard to justify buying tickets, and especially putting in money upfront for a ST, if there's no real enjoyment or pleasure. Like many others, I've found other things to do because nothing about Mowbray's team or brand of football excites me. I dont follow other league football but have gone non league and Rugby Union. I couldn't support another club but the difference between the other things I do now follow, and Rovers, in terms of the professionalism with which the entire club is run, is phenomenal. Clitheroe do a better job of communicating.
  13. You lost me at Reliable journalist. When, in Rovers terms, was Nixon last that?
  14. Dont get your hopes up. I thought he was going on my birthday a couple of weeks ago.
  15. We can't interview anyone because we still have a manager. I really wish we could come up with an idea on how to get rid of him.
  16. The problem is that NO manager is guaranteed success at any given club. Some will give you a better chance than others but every managerial appointment is a gamble. We need to get rid of the one we have first anyway.
  17. One thing you can be sure of if Ainsworth came in would be that we wouldn't lose out on or reject players because of fashion faux pas.
  18. No, I saw Caroli several times and he was actually funny
  19. Today would be a great day to get out Tony. So much else going on nobody would notice your departure except the delighted Rovers fans
  20. Wont be much of a battle with him in charge, will it?
