  1. They moved the senior training up to what used to be the academy in the first place because the lower site wasnt big enough, so how it's supposed to be big enough for seniors and academy I dont know. It will of course go straight through planning because even if RVBC oppose it, which they probably wont, central government will overrule. It's happened with every refused planning application in the last 10 years. Just concrete over the Ribble Valley. There'll be no green space left soon.
  2. Can we pay them to take him?
  3. You do have to wonder where we dug them up from
  4. Pulis is sexist in the extreme. If we're talking of people i wouldn't want hes one. And on a professional level, I think he's had his day.
  5. But things can change. Will they? Probably not. But they just might
  6. I wasn't saying I'd want Terry. Never liked him since back in the days when he played for England U21s and I met him briefly. Thought then he was arrogant and not very pleasant. And, like you, I dont know if he'd stand a chance of being any good. I just think that looking round football and football management, a lot of them haven't covered themselves with glory on the moral front and seem unpleasant types. I wouldn't be cheering for their moral standards but for their ability to get results on a football pitch. I know its hard to separate the 2, and I understand your reservations about Terry totally. Would I want him. Probably not. Not on any grounds, but do I think he'd come here in the unlikely situation of Mowbray's sacking.? Probably not.
  7. In an ideal world, we'd all want Mr Squeaky Clean, regular guy, excellent coach, man manager, role model to manage us. This is not an ideal world and most people have things in their past they're not proud of now they've grown up. I dont know if Terry would be a good manager or not. I do know that Mowbray, if he ever was, isn't now.
  8. If we're going to sack him they need to get in the ear of Madame fast because the cricket starts again on 24th
  9. Somebody has to count Waggott tax
  10. I think this is the first time I've ever agreed with more or less everything you say. I wont vilify Mowbray but his time has been and is gone and he risks that being forgotten if he drags on as manager. For his own sake as much as the clubs, he needs to go now.
  11. You know what? I dont really care who comes in because, if what you're all saying about performance levels is true, (I've only watched us once this season so can't judge for myself) anyone with a bit of organising skill and authority could do a better job than Mowbray is doing at the moment. Look at what Woodgate has managed to do in a few short weeks as caretaker. It used to be a worry of mine that we wouldn't appoint better. Now I feel even the Raos probably couldn't do worse than a manager who has always been somewhat incoherent but now appears to have totally lost it.
  12. At first glance I wondered what you were on about. My sister is called Jack Ryan
  13. Spam is very highly thought of in Korea.
  14. Winning takes a long time to get boring
  15. Perhaps they need to train on it to work out how to play on it
  16. Haha. I might be one of thd few people who gets that reference
  17. Not Rovers, but my son in law recently turned up to play and found himself facing Stephen Ireland, Joleon Lescotf and Nedum Onuoha.
  18. I was just so glad I woke up at 4.15, turned on my tablet and watched the mornings play live.
  19. Watching Mbappe against Lorient would suggest the lad's not really very good. I know that was a below par performance but he was very poor in that match.
  20. I just made exactly the same comments to my husband. Can't believe he's back this week. Stitches alone normally take that long to heal.
  21. He doesnt have to be a top manager; we just need somebody good enough
  22. I'm not put off by that one incident but hes not going to give you long before he wants to retire. If you want a change of manager I'd want someone younger who can move the team forward into the 21st century concentrating on fitness levels as well as skills. I dont mean a youngster but a guy in his 40s or 50s whose developed a belief in the way he wants to set his team up, builds his team up and makes them better as a team. Does this guy exist? I dont know but we're talking ideas here, not naming names
  23. I went to the winter Olympics in Pyongchang that year. That was when they had to cancel events because it was too cold even for winter sports
  24. New Zealand are officially I think
  25. I saw him play for Clitheroe last season
