I didn't say it couldn't work. Anything that might make a difference is worth trying but as with most things you need to be aware of potential problems so that you can avoid them. The kop is also a huge area not a hundred or so fans. How many do you think we'd get in a singing section? Not knocking the idea. Just wanting to know.

We go to matches in France quite often and there the ultras collect in one area of the ground. Sounds good but the problem is that they sing regardless not really encouraging the team or responding to events on the pitch and also if you're not one of them you don't sing or shout or anything even when your team need encouragement or a kick up the backside. A singing section sounds good in theory but in practice it could easily become this kind of meaningless entity. A home game needs as many as possible to be involved in the noise and atmosphere creation. At away games people who would never be in a singing section at home get involved too because there's an atmosphere of all in together that's hard to duplicate at home games

Doris Day gone now. She was 97 but huge star when I was a kid

People always say that when there's lots of runs. I love to see wickets falling as much if not more than runs made. The balance yesterday was wrong. Too many of one and not enough of the other. Needs to showcase both sets of skills

Season Tickets 2019/2020

If I remember rightly various people on here got to look at their seats in the ground when they were asked to move seats so they'd probably let you take a look if you asked -
In Rugby Union the fans see what the ref sees and hear what is said to a large extent. It doesn't detract at all but the guy on the tech stuff is at the ground. Linesmen are the actual assistant referees that football nominally calls them and refs even admit their mistakes during matches on occasion eg Nigel Owen reffing La Rochelle v Sale a few weeks ago

If I'm being honest I've been here 36 years and I've always known more Burnley fans than Rovers.

I know equalish numbers of rovers and Burnley fans here so I feel it is

For the first time this year I'll look at the senior ticket as I now qualify! ? -
Unfortunately Troyes have had 2 shots and scored with both.

Non pas de supplément du tout

I'm at a crunch match in French Ligue 2 between Lorient and Troyes who both currently occupy play off places. €18 for 2 adult tickets. Just turned up 2 hours before the match and bought tickets. That's the way to entice people in

If he's anything like one of his predecessors that'll be a pay rise!

It can be as logical as you like but that's precisely why that won't happen. Why would our owners suddenly find logic to handle our club when they never have so far?
-
Difference in class of owner to start with!
-
And why would Gerrard leave Rangers for a low level championship club?

Who drew up that list? Because none of them is particularly inspiring at least the possibles arent

You must be the exception age wise. Honestly I'm not sure how the people sitting near me got up there. They must have lift passes
-
Whatever you do dont sit in the JW Upper. The view might be good but I felt young in there and I'm nearly 65
-
Actually it was easier when there were 5 because everyone got a weekend off. The point with Italy is that you can only progress so far unless you start playing better teams. There are a lot of good European teams around who need better competition to move up. Perhaps a second competition. The Rumanians are good as are the Russians and one or 2 others. I watched them at under 18 level a couple of years ago while on hols in france

Yes unless that moron at Bristol gets his way and they take promotion and relegation out of the equation. Interestingly rugby plays on through international weekends. Good teams do without their big players so the Saracens side today in the cup bears little resemblance to their normal first team.

As an aside I felt quite tearful last night looking at the BBE Upper all closed. The seats we were in in the JW Upper were like sitting in a morgue

But we wouldn't have Cook as manager

That's the guy. He's just not scared of anyone. When he first came to Sale he always had a mistake in him but nowadays he makes far fewer and he's much tougher.
