I know what @Paul Mellelieu is trying to say and he’s making a valid point. There are no guarantees of anything with administration. It’s easy to be so blasé about the effects. With Admin Rovers would drop like a stone.

The preferable route out of this is what I posted earlier. That’s for Venkys to do their utmost to find suitable owners and hand the club over. I’m not saying it’s even possible to find anyone who could come close to putting the money in that they have done. I doubt that it is.

It’s time for them to move on for sure. Administration won’t be something rovers would recover from for a very long time in my opinion - if ever.

The longer these owners are behind the wheel the bigger the car crash when inevitably we hit the brick wall. Right now we are struggling to pay wages and keep the lights on, with 'billionaire' owners, owners who have zero interest in raising capital through growing the club, its mindboggling incompetence or they simply do not care.

I'd take the final option right now den because our options diminish with every passing day sadly.

Worth noting Preston’s financial precarious position. Administration would be a disaster for many local employees and for local suppliers, so in the short term we can only hope the money keeps coming.

I understand the point you're making, relegation from Premiership was probably worse if truth be known, but what is the end game here Paul?

You talk about money coming in for the 'short term' but what does that achieve? Disaster in the longer term?

Something has to give and we need to think bigger picture I'm afraid.

I must admit I had never considered how difficult it must be for people who are visually impaired  to do a simple thing like walking down a street.

When you think back the clutter on our streets has grown exponentially.

Even having a guide dog is no help if you're forced off the pavement and your dog is hit by a car.

I was driving through the Dearne Valley between Barnsley and Doncaster earlier today and saw 3/4 large gangs of people litter picking on the duel carriageways. This area was mining communities in years gone by and has been replaced by carriageways, roundabouts, industrial estates and outlet shops.

Litter can only come from people travelling in cars......

Credit to these pickers, young and old in the freezing conditions, thankfully we still have some selfless people in this world.

Have you reached out to Kamy for alternative main stream media contacts?

Always found the likes of David Conn , Henry Winter , Jack Gaughan and the independent as better outlets,  than don't rock the boat LET

Henry was all over the Reading stuff at the weekend, supporting the fans against another abhorrent owner. He never shyd away from the Venky stuff either, Nick Harris was another.

  5. I was in the big city last night (Sheffield) for drinks at Public and seafood at Native.

First of all it was Public, which used to be a public toilet back in the day, now doing table service of amazing cocktails, bring the plastic though as its not cheap, but the quality and range of the drinks was superb:

Then we had a table booked at Native, one of only a handful of Seafood restaurants in the city. Our group loved the place on the whole, Lobster, Crab, Turbot, Scallops, Bream and Gurnard on offer, but its was insanely expensive for me. Turbot £32, king of fish I get that, but it came with a sauce and nothing else. Starters all £13+ - I don't mind spending money on food, but it just seemed a bit over the top for me, but I will go back as what was served was excellent.

    Spot on.

I doubt anyone from the FF will have the cajones to ask those questions but we will see I suppose in upcoming Forum minutes. in the unlikely event they are asked please don't

The answer to Number 2 is the crucial one  and that will dictate the course of action the owners SHOULD be taking. but probably won't.

How’s the QEGS delegation getting on Rev? Are we seeing any progress?

It’s easy to criticise from the comfort of the armchair, I’ve done it, but knowing one or two on the FF they’ll ask the questions when the time is right, it’s not about wading in on every subject or you lose credibility.

What's the optimistic prediction on how many more appearances he makes this season? 5?

And then what are the chances that a club is then interested next summer?

And then if we don't sell him, how many appearances might he make next season? 15?

So there's a very good chance we turn down a bit for a player who is a high earner and will make 20ish appearances over the next 18 months. Again, that's being optimistic.

Knowing our luck, he will stick around, barely play this season, play a few games next season, and then we will offer him a new contract because we're fresh out of ideas.

How long has he been here Eddie? I believe he's played over 200 games for us? But you're right of course, he's struggled with injury over the past 2 seasons.

Most fans, if the money was reinvested, would take the deal, but we all know that money probably wouldn't see the light of day, even if someone was willing to pay a decent fee.

  8. Sky have a lot to answer for, football on a Monday night was rare before that lot came along.....

Definitely taken some the sheen off the tie for me 🙄

Why the tie has any sheen at all is another question, its against 3rd division Wrexham for goodness sake, but I want to spend 90 minutes berating that **** McClean and now I possibly can't go.....

Do you think Gally is a good Championship striker ? Yes or no.

I can't answer the question with just yes or no rigger.

If you take this down to barebones - Striker =  goals = No, not good enough, I think he scores 1 goal every 4 games.

If you look at his all round contribution to the team, every manager has played him out of the wing, his tracking back - Yes

I will never criticize any player that is selected to play for Blackburn Rovers and puts in 110% every game, Gallagher falls into that category for me.

He annihilated Stoke with his pace in 2015

King is one of the best strikers we had in the Championship, just unfortunate to be behind Gestede and Rhodes.

Really joey? Turned it on for the cameras in FA Cup I seem to recall, otherwise he was 'injured' or missing.

He was one of the worst players ever to pull on the shirt due to his attitude and his refusal to play towards the end of his time here...

    Adam Wharton

    - 4 years left on his contract.
    - Starts pretty much every match for his boyhood club.
    - Very highly rated (being eyed up half of the Premier League).
    - Young and English.

He won't go for less than £20m, with a decent sell-on too.

Say what you want about Gregg, but he isn't an idiot - he knows what he has.

At a a normal club you'd hold on to your prized assets like your life depended on it, sadly we are no longer a normal club. If anyone came in for Wharton today with £20m, that would be reinvested, I'd bite the hand off.

Back in the real world, we'll probably sell him anyway and the money will never see the light of day.......

    Venkys out.
