Where do your supporters live?

@DeeCee I could be wrong here, but I recall buying 'The Sports Pink' from that shop many years ago, did it turn into a football programmes shop at one time, or am I making that up? -

Whilst not tied into the Arijanet Muric deal financially, Hladky was a 'makeweight' in the deal between Ipswich and dingles. Premiership Ipswich had offered him a new 1yr deal, which of course puts him way out of our reach financially. -
I think many people are concerned about the infrastructure, the school places, the roads becoming jammed, available GP's in the area, the usual stuff @speeeeeeedie. This particular area has seen big changes in the past few years, what was open fields has now become a housing estate and they want to build more. We have a NIMBY culture in UK, 'Not in my back yard' and in some cases for good reason, but in most cases its for selfish reasons like my house will lose value..... If this does go ahead I hope they build a significant number of social housing on the site, because we have a desperate need for social housing, its always about affordable housing, when really it should be about social housing, big difference.

Based on the shambolic goings on last season, it just goes to show the fanbase is still strong, 9000 is an excellent return for a side that spent months looking like it would be playing football in league 1 this season. Good effort and I hope your loyalty is rewarded by some success of the pitch.

Don't get me wrong here I love a good rumour, but I can smell bullshit a mile off, especially when its consistent bullshit over a number of years, that is my point. Anyway I've said my piece, have we signed anyone yet 🤔 -

Its never one size fits all Upside Down, some folk are much more invested and live for Blackburn Rovers only. How do I know this? I was one of them when I was younger, a transfer could make or break my year! In fact Howard Kendall going to Everton, Simon Barker going to QPR and Colin Hendry going to City did! -

This site has moved on recent years and mostly for the better I'd say, but one area I'm not to fond of personally, is the open forum to post consistent inaccurate bullshit when it comes to transfers and the like. Its a very emotive subject, some people take these snippets with a pinch of salt, some people will stay awake at night thinking about them, it will affect the daily lives for some, its not one size fits all. If you've been posting for more than 12 months on here you know who is making stuff up and who isn't, but as long as the moderators deem it appropriate and allow this type of behaviour, we must accept that some will continue to feed off that and post made up drivel. Views and opinions are one thing, selling our best players and sacking our managers every 3 months is very much another. -

I don't think anyone on here has suggest Rooney or Lampard for national manager, someone mentioned Lampard working with FA currently, which could get him an interview, but I've not read anyone calling for either of those 2 as next England manager. -

Absolutely nothing wrong with going to Ewood AJW, it’s in the blood and these owners should never impact that. But sadly they have, for many, me included, but I try to not critisize anyone for going. -

You’ve been Venkys biggest supporter on here over the years, trying to deflect every issue away from Pune where possible. Parson is on record many many times saying he despises the owners, but it won’t stop him going and all credit to him. Do you still support these abhorrent owners Rev? Or have you finally had that epiphany? -

Many people lost their jobs when we were relegated from Premiership, many local businesses also suffered, administration doesn't mean everyone on the dole, but it will secure the future of this football club and start the healing process in my opinion. -
Back in those days my aspiration was to get to an FA Cup semi final at a neutral ground, I had no expectations beyond that, I didn't even want to get to the final, just a semi final at Villa Park or Hillsborough, that was it. Little did we know what was coming rigger, 20yrs+ in the big leagues, winning cups and PLAYING IN EUROPE! They can't take away our memories.

He never mentioned Premiership, you did and it was a silly point the first time you mentioned it, just like its a silly point now. To want an English manager to mange the national side is a fair ask, its a popular opinion, especially amongst fans that go to games, which says a lot for me. -

I think thats a little unfair, the easiest option is to go for the popular candidate at that time, as we did with Capello & Sven and we all know how that worked out. The Southgate appointment certainly had some thought behind it, with Gareth coming up through the England setup as a player and manager and it almost worked. I said yesterday that I don't envy the FA this time around, Carsley would be the natural choice, but its just come a little early for him as far as I'm concerned and why would Howe leave Newcastle with all that Saudi money burning a hole in his pocket? Be interesting to see how this plays out. -

Fabio Capello had a better record than most of the managers being touted around today, he was a disaster. But equally, Bobby Robson and Terry Venables were seen as the 2 of the best managers in the world at the time, both also failed. I don't envy the FA here, its a hiding to nothing this appointment. -

That wasn't really the point being made, but if we are going for this lazy "Best of the best" I don't see where Mauricio Pochettino fits into that list. As for him not being backed by Levy, I recall him spending ÂŁ100m on Ndombele and Lo Celso alone, not sure what else he spent, but we aren't talking small change and he won nothing. -

The vast majority of managers are 'club failures' its the nature of the job. I noticed you mentioned Mauricio Pochettino earlier, what has he done in club management? I can't recall him winning anything worth writing home about? He seems to spend big and win very little, like many of todays cheque book managers. -

Southgate has shown you don't need previous managerial success to be a success at international level, but it would be a disaster if someone like Lampard or Rooney got the job. Both treated England duty as players with contempt at times, not the sort of people you want around the modern day England setup for me. One thing that was clear with Southgate, he'd created a bond with those players and they'd run through brick walls for him, we need someone who can do that again. -

Some really warm words for Southgate tonight from across the country, pundits, players, managers, politicians, royalty and fans, all paying tribute to the man and the job he’s done in restoring pride back into the national side. I wish him nothing but the best of luck for the future. -
We took our largest away following in Europe to Feyenoord, maybe thats why he felt penned in. It was a segregated area of course, our seats were in the top tier, its was fenced in with perspex. the bottom was more open. All the European away trips are a little over the top on the policing front and segregation, but the most trouble I've seen was Rovers fighting Rovers in Leverkusen and some handbags with the police in Lyon. Great trips, great memories, those bastards in Pune can't take those away.

I'm not a fan of picking the best club manager at the time to come into the national fold, its not worked before for England and doesn't work in general. Spain have just won the Euros with a Spanish manager most have ever heard of, Argentina won the last world cup with Scaloni, another manager most had ever heard of. What do these managers have in common? They both came through the national coaching ranks, like Southgate, food for thought maybe... -

Not unexpected, he looked like his race had been run, but what a ride, the fans that actually follow the national team to the tournaments will be sad to see him go I'm sure.
