I've spent the afternoon fuming about the inevitable sale of Wharton and expected the site to be in meltdown. The sale gets hardly a mention, has the deal fallen through already and he's staying? Or are posters just beaten at this point? VENKYS OUT

Sod off you're older than that surely 😁 -
Hartley took 7 wickets on debut in India and contributed over 50 runs with the bat, but yes the 196 from Pope was outstanding and swung the game in Englands favour, well deserved MoM Ollie Pope. This England team keeps on breaking records and when the 'Nay Sayers and Know Nowts' line up to criticize, they're usually shot down in double quick time, when will they learn..... Looking forward to the next test which I believe starts on Friday

Man of the match award cemented in. Brilliant stuff Tom Hartley. Test match cricket at its finest here, what a game and it’s not over yet. I didn’t want the extra 30mins, I’m not sure now.

Plenty of time 47er, another day to go yet, 87 looks a long way off for India 🙏

I don’t believe they had any interest in making huge profits from the sale of the club, they did that around the same time selling stakes in FlyBe. But you’re right of course, it could have sold for much more had they held on and as I sit here right now I wish they had, not sold and still owned us now.
-
I’ve never attributed any blame to the Walker family myself. Blackburn Rovers was Jacks passion, not the families passion and they sold the club in good faith. These owners ticked all the boxes, had the funds, but as one poster said yesterday, you simply cannot account for them being as thick as a bar top. Venkys out.

Hartley has been outstanding, unplayable for the most part, he deserves 5 wkts here.

That’s a big wicket for England - Rahul gone for 22.

It’s a Monday night game Andy. -
Someone should tell Matthew that Barclays withdrew Venky’s/Blackburn Rovers UK overdraft facility for missing payments, at which point they sulked off to bank of India. They also dragged Blackburn Rovers good name through the high court when they missed/refused to pay Henning Bergs contract. Never missed a payment eh……

Very good watch. Feelings still run high Tony even after all these years.

Couldn't agree more gents. It will be interesting to see how they approach the first hour tomorrow, will they come out swinging and try to make a quick 50+? Or see how long Ahmed can block one end and allow Pope to do his stuff. I'll be setting the alarm

Lets get this thread back on track, all this talk about gates is bordering on dingle territory....... Wrexham are so far down the leagues I struggle to find them, Hollywood can't help you on a cold wet night in Lancashire. Blackburn Rovers 4 Wrexham 1
