Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Gav replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Goodness me that’s some stretch MP and adds nothing to this debate in 2025. -

The first goal reminded me of the Koeman goal against England under Graham Taylor. A nation and the thousands of England fans in Amsterdam's were shouting at Seaman and the TV to cover that side, he allowed his wall to cover that side and the rest is history. Pears has been superb for us recently, I’m sure this won’t impact the lad. -
I saw it on Tuesday night and enjoyed it because it was Dylan. I thought Chalamet was very good, but Ed Norton stole the show playing Pete Seeger. Good film. I don’t believe I’ve been to the ‘Flicks’ since I saw 3 Billboards in Ebbing Missouri, super film by the way, but has it got louder? Or have I got older? The adverts and trailers almost burst my eardrums!!

What are you listening to right now?

I think the early stuff fits that general description UD. But it’s a great listen to be honest. Also spent this evening listening to Linda Ronstadt, what a voice, part of the Laurel Canyon set. -

Over 1000 have made the trip, have some respect. -
Definitely worth a mention with Garth sadly passing away this week, the final member of The Band actually ensures that the Band are back together.

These players to a man will give everything for the manager, fans and the shirt. We are lucky right now that we have a group who are united and pulling in the right direction. It may not be enough to get a win today, it’s certainly not enough to gain promotion due to the paper thin squad, but giving everything on the pitch is all we can ask for. COYB Venkys out, nothing else matters. -
Got to say I can’t help but have a wry smile at the moaning, bleating and outrage from United fans, at the Rangers fans being in the home areas at Old Stratford. For years this lot have been in home ends across the country, well you got a bit of your own medicine and you don’t like it, food for thought maybe……

I'm going through a Roxy Music phase at the moment, some of the early stuff was superb, brash, abbrasive sounds and nothing like the later stuff which put more off for years. They released the self titled 'Roxy Music' in 1972, for a debut album its superb. They then went on to relsease 'For your Pleasure' which is also a great album. They weren't glam rock like Bowie, who was in the charts at the time, but the music was great in an era where anything went! -
Couple of pics, one here from Ewood, sadly we can’t see the ground: This one is from 1983 and is graffiti from local gangs in Blackburn:

Where has all this anger and outrage come from on our January transfer policy? Its loans loans loans and they don't happen until the Premiership clubs say they happen. You can't buy players with nothing more than good will and some magic beans!

I saw the floodlighs on against Sunderland on Boxing Day, we should all be thankful den, superb owners, we are in good hands 🙄 VENKYS OUT, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
-
Tripe. He was sold to keep the lights on, because our billionaire owners are inept.
-
£50 million war chest?

This lad was a player, scores a couple here, best since Shearer in my book:
-
I watched some of that shite last night, £100’s millions spent, Premiership teams coming to that dump regularly over the past few years and you could hear a mouse piss on cotton for 85mins, the place is a morgue unless we come to town.
-
Spot on. Whilst I don’t think the new signings are useless, I believe they are not good enough to get us promoted, but that is the market we operate in this days.
-
He was right, £6.2million wasn't it? We could do with that right now!
-
Has anyone seen the latest episode of ‘Tippy tappy football’? Ince sent scouts to watch Barcelona v Udinese in a pre-season friendly. Carlos Villanueva was the target, the scouts came back and recommended a 19yr old Alexis Sanchez, the rest is history….
-
They know a good manager when they see one, took them up last time around.
-
Quite right, but neither will fire us to the Premiership sadly. We need serious investment in several areas, as our squad is paper thin and we all know the owners have never and will never provide the right funds at the right time. Venkys Out, nothing else matters.

Another nail in English football and its traditions, having no FA Cup replays is a disgrace. It’s all about the big clubs and money, hang yours heads in shame English FA!

This is a great picture of away fans arriving in Barnsley 1980's and waiting to be escorted by police to Oakwell. No idea who it is, but I’m sure it’s an experience we’ve all endured hundreds of times:

I'm not on instagram, can someone call them "A pair of fooking mutts" for me please. Thanks kindly. 😠
