Cheers guys... Reading all the negative posts has got me thinking again. My worst nightmare- get taken apart by a rampant Arsenal team in the semis and get involved in a relegation battle until the bitter end- mind you Hughes said last week we wont be out of it until the end of the season. Just when I thought things were looking rosy in the garden again...

His first touch is awful these days- just saying it is a concern. I am just benchmarking against his previous high standards.

What concerns me is that we are not seeing the best of of David Thompson yet. He has shown glimpes of the form he once had where he quite rightly was in the England squad- I was willing to give him time but he has enough time on pitch now to get his fitness back. Maybe in the future we will see his ability shine through again. On other issues- I have been impressed with some of Neil's defence splitting passes of late. He can play a decent ball and also has been doing some powerful runs. Generally from the team too many blind alley passing going on- bit like hit and hope... seems pointless at times.

Going to leave work on Friday night from London- train to Cardiff. Go out on the sauce. Really cant wait- mind you I may have got the sack by then as I cant concentrate on my work. One Jack Walker

Sorry Phil -dont have as much time to read the board these days! Did not realise that Jansen is out for the season. Cant believe we are on the box again then on Saturday- feels like we are getting so much coverage at the moment, weird feeling. Interesting to see how the squads freshness bears up with our game on Sunday, now Wednesday then Saturday midday.

Cant be bothered reading all previous posts! I think it is obvious Dickov is playing through an injury, he keeps checking every so often when he runs and you can see their is a problem with him. I would consider leaving him out if it does him any good however it appears that it wont be sorted until he gets a proper rest which can only come at the end of the season. Pity our striking options are so poor- poor Jansen has left the whole scene altogether!

Its a weird feeling being the semis- keep hearing our name alongside Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle. Sparky will leading the lads in Cardiff is going to be special. Quick question- I am on the clubs database, not a ST holder- how many tickets am I eligible for. Not sure the way it works.....

I would to thank John Williams and the board. Was going to start a new thread but will not bother. All the board do is support our manager and team as much as they can. Wow they backed GS too much over Grabbi- but all they do is try and make BRFC as great as Jack wanted. Not a knee-jerk reaction but the appointment of Mark Hughes has made my life happy again. We have an up and coming manager who is astute and passionate as GS was but in a quiet manner- he also backs his corner when he feels our club is not getting credit

Dont know why, and I act like a big baby on this- but I cant give up on Jansen. Offer him a pay as you play contract for next season, its surely worth one more chance

May of been at ewood but has stayed in Glasgow with friends the last 2 nights.

Ridiculous that Nissa has just been discarded for Moekena. Moekena looks like he has good physical attributes but that is about it- looks dodgy in my eyes and only a matter of time before we see how really bad he is. Unless injured Nissa should partner Todd. As his contract is up at the end of the season it seems unlikely he will stay.

Hughes has played this cleverly- Ferguson is not going to disrupt anything if he stays. Of course if Rangers offer big cash and meet our valuation he would go but that seems unlikely. Boo him?? Why- just for the sake of booing- Ferguson if he stays is probably our best player and I am not going to boo him when we are in a relegation scrap. As I said before back the manager on this one. If he thought he would be a problem we would have sold him by now.

Hughes wanted him to stay- back the manager, quite simple really.

For some reason I had given up hope of Savage coming- have not even been thinking about it for a couple of days. However according to people on here a deal is near to being struck. I very much look forward to seeing a Sav-Fergie partnership.... however Everton remains a major problem as they surely will go for one of the 2 now.

Newcastle are interested now as well!! Great.... the ned wants to go home- what a tw*t. Fair enough if he is really homesick but I doubt it.

Savage running around pis*ing himself for the reserves this evening, apparently we had a scout at the match! Only ones looking stupid are the co*** on the Brum board. Still hoping we will get him. Brum just have to face it that he does not want to play for them and wants to join the Hughes revolution.

I have the feeling like Jim that relations between clubs is not the best. The Mark Bowen factor wont help matters as Bruce and him dont speak anymore- they would be happier selling him to another club. IMO that is part of the reason for them not accepting our bid.

Awesome result- we look like a team now. Cant post or see the transfer topic thread for some reason- on a new computer!!- so will put the latest news here. Of course the Savage story is dominating the news- some papers even saying it is a done deal... not sure about that yet. However we are very close to signing Tomo Sokota- however we are looking into issues regarding his registration- he is a very good player by the way and we are getting him on a nominal fee as his contract runs out in the summer.
