  1. This thread is going to go long and I’m looking for fun games to try and liven it up. What about this: I’ll make a new thread, we all have to simply post the name of a player (not currently linked) and the first person to guess a player that we sign gets a 12 month BRFCS adfree membership. Any good? Any better ideas?
  2. If we don’t spend this with our decimated squad PLUS Szmodics will leave then we may as well all pack it in and fold the club.
  3. Ordinarily I would say I suspect he will tell us where to go. However, McGuire is on peanuts ($1,400 / week) at Orlando. He will change his families life by moving here.
  4. McFadz is at his best when we’re under bombardment defending our 18 yard box and need a leader to organise things. He’s been vital since January but I do not want to spend another season like this one. By default that should mean that his services are redundant.
  5. Here’s my list Gregg. Go sign them all please. Viktor Johansson Michał Helik Ben Christene Ollie Rathbone Harvey Knibbs Jarne Steuckers Arron Connelly Duncan McGuire
  6. Go and sign Jarne Steuckers please Gregg.
  7. I’m not joking when I say I think we need six permanent signings and three loans.
  8. Agreed - add Pears, Gamble, Garrett, Markanday and Telalovic to the list of players that need replacing because they’re simply not good enough. Add Dolan and Sigurdsson if they won’t sign new deals.
  9. We didn’t mention it at the time - but this feels like the moment to, when Tony’s diagnosis was announced we sent him a card, some blue and white flowers and his favourite chocolates on behalf of BRFCS members…
  10. He’ll likely win the most MOTM votes, therefore win the BRFCS Player of the Season. If that happens, usually we contact the club and let them know, ask for the players favourite charity and make a donation on behalf of BRFCS members to said charity.
  11. Narrator: But they didn't have any money to spend.
  12. Here's hoping, the original was a classic.
  13. I guarantee we can't afford to pay any of them what they're looking for.
  14. I said at the time Pears value will never be as high again as it was last summer. Should have sold him and Kaminski whilst we had the chance. Nobody is paying money for Pears this summer, too many clangers.
  15. I'm not sure - I think it got a very quiet and worried crowd up for it, he'd already given the HT team talk... it wouldn't surprise me if it was planned...
  16. Just on this - I thought the lap of honour was really poorly organised. The stadium announcer said stay in your seats, the players essentially did their own lap of honour, where taken off the pitch then returned to a 80% empty stadium. Like everything it needed much better organisation. Messaging on the big screen, repeat announcements. Whilst I’m here, when Eustace was sent off he came and sat probably 15 seats away from me. There was no plan for how he would communicate to the bench - it was utter chaos, probably a 10-15 minute period of it followed by Eustace using his personal phone to call down to someone on the bench.
  17. I think Eustace trusts about four players - Carter, JRC, Tronstad, Szmodics and has to make do with the rest. Like all of us.
  18. He sent us a video thanking all the fans for their support, he’ll be watching his brother as a fan and can’t wait to one day come back. It was included in a podcast episode.
  19. If it was all made up how do you think BRFCS ended up with the first message to Rovers fans from Adam after he left? Released before the club, in fact?
  20. Sorry folks, while DE is speaking truth here, I added a word filter into the forum about 2 years ago when @chaddyrovers kept turbo posting we should sign "Jay $tansfield" so that every time he said "Jay $tansfield", it automatically changed his post to "Luca Toni". I found it very funny.
  21. I’m astonished anyone thinks Markanday has anything about him. He’s rubbish.
  22. I'm sure they do think that - the question is whether the opposition get an increase % performance higher than our players. It's impossible to answer but my eye test tells me that when we have a big game and a huge away followings we crumble. Games against Preston, Wrexham and Newcastle for me aren't comparable - PNE was a local derby in the first half of the season (which we lost), Wrexham we where favourite's and didn't crack but ultimately where playing a L2 team and all of the pressure was on the opposition for the Newcastle game. There's a reason playing at home is considered an advantage. The Sheff Weds players described it as a 'like a home game' and our Manager said 'a big away following has an impact but we won't use it as an excuse' (whatever that means). In my opinion there's absolutely no argument that in a potentially league-defining game giving the opposition 7K fans has a net-negative effect on our clearly poor-under-pressure players.
